MYRIAD OF LIGHTS
ACT THREE ;
LANTERN RITE
After the fight, we all withdrew to the jade chamber and was thanked by Ninnguang. She had invited a young girl, who i caught who was named Yun Jin to perform there.
The performance was beautiful and she certainly had talent. The scenery with the singing and the lanterns was majestic.
When it got a bit later, around midnight, the real celebration really started to begin.
I had decided to stay with Aether and for being backhanded into a mountain, he seemed to be doing fine.
Keqing had decided to join us for the celebration as we stood on the Jade Chamber waiting for the fireworks to commence.
As we watched the lanterns float into the sky, one of the workers in the jade chamber told Keqing to go inside as Ninnguang had gotten her something.
It was a bit confusing but she left anyway with a mischievous smile on her face.
After a few minutes, we starting to think she'd miss the fireworks fireworks she came out in a completely different dress and hairstyle.
'HOW DID SHE DO IT THAT FAST!?'
"It looks nice" I complemented and she gave a grateful nod with a 'thank you'
"Well travellers, please enjoy the grand finale of this year's lantern rite" She looked over at the Harbour "the firework show!"
And is if they had been listening, they shot into the sky, lighting the sky up with bright colours.
It was the first time I had ever seen fireworks.
Ninnguang and Beidou were here too along with the opera girl and a friend she had brought a long.
Said friend had clothes with spikes and made up of reds and blacks. She also had a guitar on her back.
As we watched on and listened to all the cheering and screaming from down below, I couldn't help but wonder,
Do I actually want to go back?
It was a lot nicer here, and I didn't have any family waiting for me back there.
I shook my head to rid myself of such thoughts. There was no point in thinking of such things when I was here and had no way to get back as of now anyway.
"Happy lantern rite!" The loud resounding cheer came from both down at the Harbour and the jade chamber. It was quite comforting.
I couldn't help but smile at all the happy faces of all those I had come to meet even though I couldn't remember them all the time.
This was my home for now.
And I was okay with that.
