Dring, dring, dring! The school bell rang and it was time for all the students to go home because school was done for the day. After the school bell rang, a twelfth grader named Neela was on her way to the library with her friends. Her friends dropped her off at the library to pick up a book.
Neela did not know what type of book to get so she was just looking around. Neela was in the library at aisle 6 looking for a book about a woman adventurer.
A few minutes later a book falls out from the shelf and falls on the floor. Neela looks confused because how could a book fall out of a shelf? It would need to be pushed to fall out like that.
"Strange", Neela says to herself. She goes to pick the book up and the book turns out to be a romance book.
"Why would there be a romance book in the adventure book section?" Neela says to herself.
Neela does not normally read romance books but she opens the first page of the first chapter and there was a letter addressed to her.
"What in the world? That does not make any sense."
"Psst!" whispered someone. Neela hears someone or something whisper to her.
"Hello?" Neela said frighteningly.
"Hi, It's -uh- Keefe." When Neela didn't respond he said, "From school? Math and English class?"
Neela shook her head, still not knowing who he was.
"Well," Keefe responded, "My name is Keefe if you didn't know." Neela didn't know what to say or what to do, "And now that I told you my name, I would like to have my book back. Please and Thank you."
"Oh, but there is a letter addressed to me." Neela responded.
"Oh, ya the letter. I was meaning to give it to you but I forgot. Here yah go," He said, giving it to Neela.
"You can open it up whenever. But it would be awkward if you did it now soooooo..., maybe later?" Keefe said, trying to sound like he was asking, but it sounded more like he was pleading.
After about half an hour of talking, Neela realized that she had to go home.
"I-uh, think I should get home. I have to help with dinner and I have homework and stuff," Neela told Keefe.
"Oh, do you need a drive to your house, by any chance?" Keefe responded sweetly.
"Sure, that'd be nice," Neela responded.
"Great," Keefe said happily.
So Keefe brought Neela to his navy blue Subaru and held the door for Neela.
"Um, thank you," Neela mumbled.
"No problem," Keefe stated.
So Keefe drove Neela to the steps that lead up to her front door and he held the door open for her again.
"Wow, you really like holding doors for people," Neela told Keefe, laughing.
"Well, anyways we're here," Keefe said because he was uncomfortable.
Neela walked to her door step and looked back at Keefe. "Hey Keefe, thank you, for driving me home," Neela mumbled to Keefe.
"You're very welcome, Neela," Keefe said quietly to her.
She opened her door with the letter in her hand and her backpack in the other, she walked in and then locked the door behind her.
As soon as Keefe left in his navy blue Subaru she looked out from the front window and blushed bright red.
