The next day at school Heather was at her locker thinking of ideas to get revenge on Neela.
Heather was looking into her mirror that had a border that was pink, glittery and fluffy on the inside part of her locker door, like usual.
In the corner of her eye she saw Neela walking to her next class. She pretended like she did not see her so that she did not suspect anything. Neela had all her binders and pencil cases in her arms.
Moments later Heather put her foot out towards Neela to trip her. Heather's plan succeeded when Neela tripped and all her supplies fell on the floor.
"Ahhhh!" Neela squealed unsuspectedly.
"Ha ha ha!" Heather laughed hysterically while pointing her finger at Neela on the floor.
"Hey! Why did you do that Heather!?" Neela asked, frustrated.
Neela started to gather all her things, when she bonked her head into something hard. She looked up and right in front of her was Keefe's chest.
When Neela saw Keefe she fell back \again on the ground, Neela blushed bright red, embarrassed.
Keefe offered Neela his hand to help her up.
"Thanks Keefe." Neela mumbled.
"No problem." Keefe said while helping Neela up. When Neela got up from the ground she turned towards Heather.
"Heather, why did you try to trip me?" Neela asked politely but still with some edge.
"We don't really know, do we? I just felt like it, isn't that ok? I know Keefe didn't mind it." Heather said, being very sassy and confident.
Keefe started to say something to stick up for Neela.
"Actually Heather, you are not allowed to speak for me and I do not think that is ok, that was actually really disrespectful. I think you owe a big apology to Neela." Keefe said to Heather. Heather tilts her head still being very overconfident.
"Who really cares, it was just a small fall." Heather said. Heather walks away not even saying an apology and flips her hair.
Keefe grits his teeth and turns to Neela. "I am so sorry about Heather. I feel so bad. I never want you to feel that way again. I hope you will forgive me."
"This isn't your fault. You didn't do anything. Heather is the one being mean," Neela tells Keefe.
"Um, actually it is my fault." Keefe said hesitating. Neela looks at him like he was acting sus.
Then the 5 minute bell for next class rings.
"Heather, is m-my ex-girlfriend," Keefe stuttered.
Neela ran away and started to cry. "How could you do this to me?!" Neela shouts as her eyes start to water.
"I can explain!" Keefe yelled after her. "No, we're done. Goodbye Keefe," Neela said, looking over her shoulder while trying to navigate in between the other students in the hall.
Keefe realized that there was no chance of catching up to her because, well, she is basically the fastest person in the school.
The second bell rang so Keefe walked away slowly to his next class. Keefe walked to class with tears in his eyes.
