Chapter 20

Cam's POV

Oh FUCK!! Scarlett's water broke! Remain calm McKnight!! I think to myself.

"Cam, help me up. I want to change before we leave." Scarlett asked.

I helped her to our bedroom, and helped her change clothes. I called for the car to be brought around, and grabbed her hospital bag, and the twins hospital bag.

Thankfully, Rose was with her father this week and Colin had Cosmo, so we didn't have to worry about where they needed to go. I helped Scarlett to the elevator, while Lex carried our bags. Cara stayed upstairs with Lizzie.

I helped Scarlett into the car, while Lex snapped the car seats into place, and placed our bags in the backseat. After bidding Lex goodbye, we drove quickly to the hospital. I held Scarlett's hand, as she breathed calmly beside me.

"How are you my love?" I asked.

"I'm ok. Contractions are not regular, coming about every 8 minutes." she panted beside me.

"We are almost there, love." I said, as she squeezed my hand.

We pulled up at the hospital and alerted them that my wife was in labor. They brought a wheelchair out, while I grabbed our bags. Thankfully the hospital has a valet for emergency and labor and delivery. I followed my wife into the hospital. Checking in, they immediately recognized Scarlett and moved her to a private room.

Once we were settled, our doctor came in and checked her. She was only 4 cm, so we had a few hours. We called her family to tell them she was in labor, and as we were about to check in with Lex, she called. Lizzie's water had broken and they were enroute. Cara said she would stay at the penthouse until the twins arrived, and then she would bring Levi to meet his cousins.

A few minutes later, Lizzie was wheeled into our room. I swear these two, they have spent so much time together, they are attached at the hip.

"Lizzie, Lex what are you guys doing in our room?" I asked.

"I promised Scarlett I would be there when she had the girls. So here I am." Lizzie said.

"And I promised Lizzie I would be there when she had the boys." My wife said, as a contraction hits.

Scarlett gripped my hands, doing her breathing exercises. "You got it baby, breathe."

"THIS IS YOUR FAULT!!" she screamed as another contraction gripped her.

"How are we doing here, Scarlett?" Dr. Sawyer asked.

"Ugh, can I get my epidural?!?" Scarlett asked.

"Let me just check your progress, Scarlett, and we will see about that epidural." Dr. Sawyer quickly checked Scarlett, only to look up at her. "Oh my, Scarlett. You are past the point of getting an epidural, you're already 9 cm dilated and almost fully effaced. You will be pushing within the next hour or so."

As Dr. Sawyer checked Lizzie's progress, I checked in with everyone. It was almost 10pm.

"Well, Lizzie, you and Scarlett both are past the point of epidurals, but you are only 7 cm and 75 percent effaced." The doctor left the room for a few seconds.

Just then, Scarlett's and Lizzie's mothers entered the room.

Dr. Sawyer came back and informed us that we were moving to delivery. Scarlett and Lizzie embraced as they rolled Scarlett out. In the delivery room, I see two bassinets set up.

"Alright Scarlett, it's time to push." As my wife began to push with the contractions, I held her hand, rubbing her back and talking softly to her

"I'm gonna cut your fucking dick off if you ever do this to me again Cameron!! OH MY GOD!!"
