The Undead

Chapter 3

Donna, Lucas, and James ran as fast as they could from the dead. They past several doors and rooms and quickly ran in one of them and tried to close the door, but the dead got there hands in the doorway and stopped it from closing. The group pushed against the door trying to keep the dead out of the room. Some of the others herd this commotion and ran to see what was going on. Aiden, Benjamin, and Allen quickly ran in the direction of the sound to saw what was happening. They got to an area close where that room was and saw how many of the dead there were. There was about 20 of them, maybe a bit more or less. None of them noticed the others from the group gathering around, they were too busy trying to get that door open. Everyone looked at each other and all followed each other to a safer area. They were silent for a few seconds then one of them spoke up.
"What are we going to do, we can't just leave them in there." Allen asked
"Yeah, we've go to help them get out of there" Jasper agreed.
"How, you saw how many of those things there were" Benjamin asked.
"They are already dead, we don't need to risk our lives to save them" Aiden uttered the group looked at him for a second completely silent.
"Why would you say that, they are struggling to keep that door shut, they are still alive and we need to help them" Jasper argues.
"No there is nothing keeping them from getting attacked by those things and there is noting that tells us they haven't already been bitten or eaten alive, so they are already dead. We should use the distraction they are causing to our advantage" Aiden fumed
"That's it, we need another distraction, we could use a loud sound to distract them. I saw an ice cream truck just a little bit down the road from here, we could use that to lead them away" Benjamin joins in
"Yeah that would definitely work, if we can get to it we could lure not just the dead in this building out of here, but we could get the ones at the fence out of our way, most of them at least, the rest would be a piece of cake to take care of, good thinking Benjamin." Jasper exclaimed "But will you be okay? How will you get back here with that many of the dead chasing you"
"I'll figure it out on the way, I'll be okay" Benjamin assured.
"I'll do it, i'm faster than you and would probably have a better chance at escaping them plus I owe you for earlier. I know the area around here I could lure them to an area that would be easy to use to escape them" Aiden sighed
"What happened to them already being dead?" Jasper asked.
"We going to do this anyways right? Mine as well do it right" Aiden declared.
"Alright then, here is the plan. We will go out of the door through that hall way and keep going till we hit the door that leads outside. Then we'll take a quick look around for any of the dead close by, we will clear the area if needed then Aiden will head for the ice cream truck, Benjamin and I will go get the rest of the group then well go to the next door building and wait for you there. How does that sound?" Allen declared
"It sounds good to me" Aiden says
"Me too" Benjamin joins in again.
"Alright, on three?" Jasper whispers
"Yeah."
Together the group counted to three, one, two, three. Then they took off out of the door into the hallway, they ran around objects and lifted their weapons up ready for any surprises. Once they reached the end of the hallway They put their backs to the wall and slowly peeked their heads out to look for anything close by. Once they made sure the area was clear Jasper signaled for Aiden to go and Aiden was off, it was up to him to complete the plan the rest of the way. Once he was out of sight Benjamin, Allen and Jasper ran back down the hall back to where the dead were trying to get their friends. They waited for Aiden to lure them away.
Aiden was running down the street as fast as he could, he was running out of breath but he had to keep going. He got to where the ice cream truck was and kept going, he was not going to help the group with their crazy plan. He was to escape on his own, he only said what he did to be able to escape the building safely. He got to a car that was parked a bit further down the road and took a quick look around for any danger. Once he was done he tried to open the car door but it was locked. He smashed through the window with his hammer and unlocked the door from the outside and started to hot wire the car. he put two wires together and the car horn started going off. He tried shutting it off by pulling the two wires apart but it did not work, which means something else is making the horn go off. He quickly tried to pull his body off of the floor of the car and was met with one of the dead right above him. He screamed out and once he did the thing grabbed him and bit into his face and bit a chunk of his cheek off of his face. More of the dead started to surround him as he got pulled out of the car and bitten into all over his body by these things. He was torn apart and eaten alive kicking and screaming. Due to the sound he was making all of the dead in the area made their way over to where this was happening.
Jasper stood horrified as he herd the screams of his friend, he knew what was happening to him and that there was nothing he could do to save him. The dead in the room started to leave and follow the sound of Aiden's screams. Once all of those things were gone Jasper, Allen, and Benjamin stopped in front of the now closed door and were ready to check on their friends, prepared for the worst case possible. They quickly opened the door and observed the area. Their friends were okay.
"Jasper? Allen, and Benjamin?" Donna said, confused "Where did all of those things go?"
"Aiden lured them away, so we could save you" Jasper replied "We should get going the fence next door should be clear, we need get in there while we still can"
"Yeah good idea" Allen joined in
"Wait, where is Rebecca?" Benjamin asked suddenly. The group looked around and realized that she was no where to be seen.
"oh my god, she was so quiet I didn't even realize she was gone" Lucas said shocked.
"What do we do now" Benjamin asked looking around at everyone.
"James and I can look for Rebecca while you guys go over and check out the fenced building" Allen suggested.
"That sounds like a good idea. Benjamin, Lucas, Donna and I can go ahead and start clearing the building out" Jasper replied.
"Alright then" said James as he grabbed his weapon and walked towards Allen " Lets do it"
Allen and James headed deeper into the building as the rest of the group headed next door in hopes of preparing a safe place for everyone.
