"i can't believe you theodore, honestly," she said.

"all you had to do was show up! i asked for the bare minimum theodore. i don't understand. i can't comprehend it. you don't know how humiliating it was for me." the girl said.

it was the day of love.

valentines day.

a day couples enjoy themselves. a day those with no company dread.

the day you could publicly show love with no shame.

a day where you could flaunt your "perfect" relationship.

why is the girl so upset?

today was supposed to be a good day.

a day she'd spend with her lover, theodore nott.

she'd been planning this day since the beginning of the school year.

she wanted it to be perfect.

she planned everything from their date to her outfit.

this day clearly meant a lot to her.

she just wanted to show theodore how much she loved him.

she loved him.

she adored everything about the boy.

his fluffy brown hair.

his green eyes.

she unconditionally loved him through everything.

they met in their first year.

they sat in the same compartment together.

maybe it was fate? or luck?

but whatever it was, it pushed the two together.

they were always together. she was the only person he'd allow to see the real him.

he would get tired of everyone else, but not her. never.

he was there for her and she was there for him.

she made the boy feel complete.

this bond quickly became a romantic one.

puberty.

suddenly they started seeing each other as more than friends. it took a while, but they got together.

it wasn't anything special, it was more of a mutual understanding.

he liked her and she liked him.

their relationship was one to envy. the amount of trust, love, and understanding between the two was admirable.

little things mattered. they were content with that. they weren't the type to go out of their ways to show that they were in love.

private dates. sneaking off to the astronomy tower after curfew. that was their love. it was private and intimate.

she didn't mind.

that was until their sixth year.

things were off. she could sense it. she just knew.

she hadn't heard from him all summer.

she was always worried, it's just in her nature to do so.

she thought about him all the time. she wrote to him everyday. she knew how the boy could close himself off. she worried that the isolation with his father had finally gotten to him.

that's why she wrote. to show him that he wasn't alone. that she'd be there for him.

their first day back she was uneasy.

she didn't know what to expect.

but there he was. her lover.

he was with his best mates. the girl felt relieved that her boyfriend hadn't lost his sanity to isolation. she was glad he was doing well.

she didn't want to bother, so she sat with her friends during the feast.

although she was relieved, she couldn't help but think about the situation.

he'd never close himself to her.

he'd make an effort to speak to her, always.

she was upset with him, but didn't want to make a big deal about it.

"that's just theo." the girl thought.

she went about the rest of her day. theo hadn't gone to talk to her that day. she thought it was odd, but let it slide.

"he's just with his mates" she thought.

she went to bed, suddenly she heard a knock.

it was theo.
