Rescue

"Myra?" 

"Dell?" I sniffed. I had been crying. 

"No... It's Finn." 

My heart swelled. "Oh!" I wiped my tears away as a phone's light blinded my sight. "Hey!" 

"You okay?" He tried to unlock the bars to my cell. We were underground in the Utilidoors. The OTs had put me there. My brother had put me there. 

"Yeah." I stood up as his hologram hand pulled my cell open. I brushed off my skirt. "No, yeah, I'm fine." 

He took my hand. "We're gonna get you out of here, and you can cross over, and you can be safe." He started to drag me through the Utilidoors. 

"Wait, what about you?" 

Oop. 

That came out quickly. 

"T-the Keepers, I mean," I corrected.

Finn smiled sadly. "Don't worry about me. Or the rest of us." 

"Dell..." I whispered. 

Finn stopped. "Do you know where he is?" 

I sighed. "He handed me over to the OTs, Finn... He's a... a..."

"An OTK..." Finn stared at me. He shook his head. "No..." 

"Finn, there must be some way we can save him..." 

"He's Philby..." Finn said, holding back tears, "...he's probably already stood up to them. For you. For Willa. He's probably..." 

Finn paused. I started to shake. "He's probably... what?"

"He's most likely... d-dead, Myra." 

Tears flooded my eyes. I sank to the ground. "No..." 

I just found my brother. I couldn't lose him again! 

"I'm so sorry, M..." 

"You don't know if he's dead. He could be alive!" 

"Myra, we don't have any proof, and it's too dangerous to try to find out." Finn had tears in his eyes, too. "As much as I love and care about him, I can't risk your life to find him. Or Willa's. Or mine. He wouldn't want us to. He's Philby--" 

"Please don't call him Philby around me." 

"He's Dell. He wants the best for all of us... especially you, Myra. And I do too." 

"Please, Finn... Give me a chance... He's the only family I have who didn't want to send me back to England... He can't be dead..." 

Finn hugged me into a tight embrace. "It's okay, Myra." 

But it's not. 

My brother is somewhere with the OTs. 

And I wasn't gonna stand for it.
