Chapter 2: A Hero?

Ozais:

-(I'm still wondering what exactly happened or how did I even..... At first I just ignored it but now I can't get it out of my head. Some guy threatened to kill and all of a sudden I traveled into his life. Its the first time this has happened to me or so I think, I can't remember anything before I was 9 years old. Which is something else I can't seem to figure out either. What am I?...)

Class has been suspended for two days now after the incident so I just stayed home listening the news to see when will they continue class. So far nothing and the officials are still clueless about me. The next news report was just about to begin.

-(That's right, we never worked on the group assignment....)

-Hello and welcome to channel 9 news. Coming back on the Riverbank High incident, staff have announced that class will continue tomorrow now that the police have finished there investigation and have found that they are no other threats in the area. They have concluded that there was someone else in the scene that intervened in the situation, preventing what could of been a tragedy. They have still not identified who this person is and the only lead that they have is on what the bomber said when interrogated:"He had black hair, was tall and skinny. He was semi brown colored in skin. I'm happy he stopped me from doing it." If anyone knows on who this mystery hero is, please report it to your nearby police station. It goes to show you that not all heroes wear capes. Thank you for watching, this has been channel 9 news.

-(A hero?..... I'm not sure I would call myself that...)

I was a bit surprised at first. The first reason was because they found out someone else was in it, and the other because they still don't know it was me. But I prefer it like that anyway, I rather not expose myself for many reasons. I never liked too much attention. The day continued and I still pondered in my thoughts, it feels like there is something I'm starting to remember but its still blurry and I can't seem to fit it anywhere. As night time approached I heard a knock on my door.

-(Huh? who could be here at this hour? Let alone, who knows I live here?).

I approached the door curiously, as I got to it I heard a voice from the other side.

-Hey open up!

-Rachel?

-Ellie is here too!

I opened the door, wondering how weirder could this day get.

-How did you guys.....

-We visited our teacher to ask if you put your directions to your home in your record. We still have an assignment to do remember?

-Uh.... yeah I was thinking about that actually.....(Damm, she went through all that trouble?)

-You know, how can you walk all the way down to school? I never thought you lived in a mountain. Were exhausted! If this is how much you walk to our school, I don't even want to imagine how long it took you to get to your previous school!

-Well after a while you get used to it. Oh yeah, sorry. Come in and make yourselves at home.

They came inside, Rachel had a look of wonder in her eyes meanwhile Ellie just looked shy.

-You live alone Ozais?

-Pretty much....

-Cool, a house to yourself but you don't get lonely after a while?

-No, not really(Well maybe sometimes...).

-Oh that's right, I almost forgot. The teacher wanted us to give this to you as well.

Rachel then took out a letter and what seems to be a uniform out of her book bag and handed them out to me.

-(?) What's this?

-Its stuff from the Special A

-The Special A?

-Yeah, its a group were only the top ten students of the entire school are in it. The three of us have been selected. From tomorrow and on, we will be taking class with another teacher.

-(I just moved to this school and I'm already put into some special program?)

-Cool right?

-Yeah(I suppose....)

-Anyway, want to get started on the assignment?

-Sure.

The three of us then sat down on a table and began to work. By the time we finished, it was already pretty late at night.

-Uh Ozais, its a little late for us to walk down to the school dorms...... Is it okay if we could stay over for the night?

-(Now they want to stay over? Well I suppose they can. Would be rude for me to send them out in the middle of the night). Do you guys even have any uniform for tomorrow?

-We do have the Special A uniform the teacher gave us. So is it okay?...

-Sure, I guess its okay. You guys can use the other bedroom in the house. Its a bit messy since I haven't used it in a while so I'll get it ready.

-Alright! Thank you Ozais and sorry for being so bothersome....

-No its okay, I'm just surprised you guys asked. Been a while since I had guests.

I went ahead and cleaned up the spare room and got it ready for them. I also showed them around the house to get them acquainted with it. Afterwards, we said our goodnights and went to bed. Today wasn't a normal day....

As I was sleeping, I had a strange dream. Someone was carrying me while running. As I looked up to see his face, he had a terrified expression and sounded tired. When I turned my head, I saw that we were approaching a vehicle. When we got there, he put me in the car and said "Don't worry about me, I'll be okay. You have to get away from here. I will see you again, love you son." As soon as the car started moving I looked through the window and saw him facing 3 people approaching him on horses. I then woke up in cold sweat, in the middle of the night and I couldn't fall asleep anymore so I decided to go and sit in the living room.

-(First the news report, then Rachel and Ellie and now this? This day couldn't get any weirder...)

Rachel then came out of the hallway and saw me. We both looked at each other surprised.

-You couldn't sleep Rachel?

-No, I just woke up and I was thirsty so I wanted to get a cup of water. How about you?

-I don't know, I can't sleep.

She then sat down next to me.

-Really, are you okay?

-(What should I say?.....) Well, honestly I'm not sure myself. I just had a bad dream and.... I think I saw my father. I don't know what it means.

-Oh.... You said you don't know where your father went right?

-Yeah, right now I'm just not sure what's happening that's all....

-Well hey.......if this helps then here.

-(!)

She gave me a hug, then told me "Hey..... Its going to be okay, you will find your answers soon enough" Then she gave me a kiss in the cheek. After that she went back to bed. I was shocked..... It was something new for me but I felt better somehow and now another question arose in my mind. How could she act like this towards me when we just met? But I then saved the thought and went back to bed, maybe I'll just ask her tomorrow.
