Note from the author:

To make things clear, this chapter up to a certain point goes before what happens in chapter 4. Also, sorry for the long delay :P

Ozais:

-(I can't believe I didn't have the guts to ask her something so simple..... I don't know what came over me, I felt so uneasy..... I have to get over it, after all, I told her I would).

I was already on my way down to school, still thinking about yesterday. I feel different in some way..... I was just about to reach the school when I heard something, so I looked back to find nothing when suddenly I heard a voice:

-Ozais!

I turned back to my front to find someone I personally was hoping to never encounter again.

-What were you thinking?! Did you honestly think you could just disappear?

-I told you already Lanier, I'm not a part of it anymore.

-I'm afraid that's just not up to you to decide, you know that.

-Do you think I care?

-You should, once your name is on their list, they won't stop until they have hunted you down. There is nothing you can do.

-(...)

-You know, I actually came here to help you. They found out you live around here and are hot on your trail. I don't think making yourself popular on tv was very smart.

-It's not like I was trying to be.

-Well then let's go before anyone finds us.

I stood still as Lanier started walking. When he realized I wasn't following, he stopped and turned back towards me.

-Well? What are you waiting for?

-I have something I need to do today. Its kinda like a promise.

-Huh? Since when have you turned sociable again?

-You know, I'd prefer it if you didn't remind me.

-Fine, I'm just a bit happy your finally starting to loosen up.

-Maybe....

-Come on, it'll be just like old times.

There is a reason why I moved from my previous school. For as long as I could remember, I've been part of something that shouldn't exist. A small organization of some sort. Some people in the world are born gifted, different...... Some say they can see the dead, others claim to have super strength..... We are a mix of those type of people. The ones that have proven to be more than just normal. We are 6 people in total divided into 3 groups. 1 is our captain, Aaron. 2 are "The Scouts" who are Tamar and Aria, they find us info on anything we need. And lastly 3 in the main unit, who are the ones that do all the dirty work aka "The Hunters" which is where Lanier, Zuri and I was in. Our captain named us Atlas.

But of course we are kept as a secret. Almost no one in the world knows of our existence and if any information leaks out, the higher ups eliminate it. But even with all of that, theres always someone who finds out, and those try to eliminate us because "We shouldn't exist". They are led by a rich man that wants to subtly control the world with a private army. I honestly believe that he is just afraid of the unknown. There used to be alot more of us until we have been betrayed by the people that offered us protection. Now we are only a few and maybe more spreaded out, trying to hide and defend ourselves while trying to live a normal life as much as possible, but we know that's impossible. Since when have different people lived easy lives?
