(Before Asher)

Some would say that everything happens for a reason... But I don't always agree.

But Tuesday... Left me wondering... And with a broken heart.

Let me fill you in:

"Hey Nate! Caleb told me you were here..." I called out while I turned the corner of the hallway.

Then I came to a complete stop...
There he was with my 'sister' ...
On the couch, kissing...

I stood there... In the doorway.
How was I feeling? The first emotion  that came to mind... Was betrayed  by the sight of them two. And what was I thinking? The first thought that came to mind was... Oh.My.God...

He was cheating on me...
And not just with anyone...
Out of all people, its was Avery.

Tears flooded my eyes as I stood there in shock. Speechless. And hurt.

They stopped kissing when they heard me say 'You'. But it was too late... The damage was done.

"C-Cleo..." He said with his guilty eyes opened as wide as possible. "Don't just stand there... Say something..." He finished his sentence quietly, with sadness in his voice, as if he felt bad.

What do I say? He was cheating on me... With Avery! I didn't know what to do...

So I ran... I ran down the stairs... Out the back door... And to the railroad tracks behind our back yard.

This is my quite place, other then my roof. Just like Katly had her tree house... I had the rustic train tracks.

I suddenly started crying when I arrived to the tracks. My head was spinning... And I felt dizzy. I'm not a drama seeker, so this came totally by surprise.

I felt like I needed to get farther away. I guess my aunts house was good enough... But ThanksGiving Break wasn't for another week... And I need to go now!

A few hours later, I headed back to the house. This time Nate and Avery weren't in the house. But I went directly to Mr. and Mrs. Michel room and found them both on there computers.

"Hey Sweetie." Mrs. Michel said with a smile that disappeared as her eyes went back to the computer screen.

"Hi..." I politely said back.

"So you missed dinner?"  Mr. Michel asked keeping his eyes glued to his screen.

"Yah... I um... I'm not hungry." I answered back, knowing that it was a lie.

"Oh... Well I made your favorite." Mrs. Michel said.

"T-Thanx" I randomly stuttered out.

I stood there in there doorway waiting for a story to make up for why I'm leaving.

"Is everything okay?" Mrs. Michel asked looking up from her computer again and taking off her glass to look at me.

"Well..." I started then I was rudely cut off by Mr. Michel.

"Of course not everythings okay, Dianna. She's a teenage girl, going through puberty, still getting use to her new high school. And on top of all of this she probably misses her parents." He said letting his sentence run on into hell...

"Mr. Michel!" Mrs. Michel said looking shocked that he said all that. "How could you?" She asked.

"How could I what?" He asked back.

"How could you go all Psychological on her, and then throw in that she's an orphan?" She asked him as her voice got louder by the minute.

"I... I didn't say she was an orphan!" He replied sounding defensive.

"But..." Mrs. Michel started to say something back , but I interrupted.

"Well it's true. I am an orphan, and I am a teenage girl going through puberty, That hates her new school. But with all that being said, I'd like to go to my Aunt's house this week."

They both were just staring at me and then back at each other.

"I thought it would be a good idea... Seeing my Aunt will be alone for ThanksGiving. And I wanted to make sure I was there for her... Like she was for me. And it will work out, seeing I'll be back in time for ThanksGiving. Sounds good?"

"Ar-Are you sure?" Mrs. Michel asked sounding concerned.

"Yes." I answered her, then we both looked at Mr. Michel for an answer.

He took a deep breath then said, "Fine." And then he pulled out his wallet and handed me a 100 dollar bill.

My eyes widened. But I wasn't surprised because he was a Psychologist after all. I hugged them both and said, "I'll get a bus ticket to Oklahoma, for first thing in the morning."

And that's how I ended up at a Oklahoma bus stop the next day.
