Jude P.O.V
Hey. I'm Jude. My best friend's name is Connor. He has sandy-brown hair, eyes that almost match as they sparkle, and his smile.... his smile- it's... beautiful. He's Beautiful, buff. We met when I transfered to Anchor Beach, because I belonged to yet another foster family. But this family isn't half bad. I have two moms- Stef and Lena, two foster brothers- Brandon and Jesus, and a foster sister- Mariana. And then there's me and my biological sister- Callie. Jesus and Mariana are twins, moms adopted them when they were younger, and Brandon is Stef's biological son.
I've always had a crush on Connor, I just didn't consider it a crush at first, because it was all new to me... the whole being gay thing. I was beaten for trying on my previous foster- dad's ex-wife's dress. So I thought it was wrong. I don't exactly have the best past. I've been raped, beat, and Callie has been through it all, including juvi, because she wanted to protect me. We hope that this home isn't anywhere near as bad as the others were. But it's turned out to be perfect. Connor and I hang out a lot. When I'm around him I feel, I don't know, Safe, Confident, sure of myself. Mariana is the only one who knows that I like Connor. She is always so happy for me. I love being with her; she's like a real sister. We have nice chats too.
" Judicorn!" That's what Mariana and my moms call me, " Connor's here!" Mariana called up to me. I came running down the stairs. And half way down, I slipped and rolled rest of the way down. I landed right in front of Connor and his over-night bag. I just sit on the floor and look up, laughing, " Hi." I say to him. He's laughing to. He gets on his knees to be on my level, then says, " Hi." And after he says hi he kisses me on thre cheek.
"Awwww!" We hear Mariana say from behind me. She's staying here with me and Connor this weekend- just us three. Moms on a small vacation, Brandon's at Lou- his girlfriend- house, Jesus is away at some wrestling tournament, and Callie's with her friend. Mariana comes over to us and gets on her knees too, so we're all sitting in a small cirlcle on the floor. " So Connor, Jude. What's going on here you two?" She has the biggest smile on her face. Me and Connor just look at each other and laugh a little. Then He grabs my hand. Mariana squeels so loud, and me and Connor look at each other andsmile again. We just sit there staring in each other's eyes. I get lost there and I can tell he has too.
"Helloooo.... I said ' Do you two date?' " Mariana asks us, smiling. Neither of us heard her the first time. We look at each other and Connor says, " No... Yes... Kind of?" I just hunch my shoulders, because me and Connor haven't really discussed what we are, or how we feel towards each other. After all, he has a girlfriend... " Okay. Boys. We're gonna have some fun this weekend!!! Just Mariana and Connor and Jude!" She's so happy, she's smiling hard. She pats poth of our knees. She's staring at us like she's waiting for something. " Come on guys, let's go out ot eat dinner. Who's up for it?" She asks us. Me and Connor both look at each other and say: "ME!!"
We all head out the door, and start walking down the streets. Mariana, Connor, and I talk the whole way there. Mostly Mariana, but we also respond and comment. I love Connor so much, and yeah, he's kissed me on the cheek maybe once or twice, but he has a girlfriend- Darea- and they're officially a couple. As far as I'm concerned, Connor's straight, and so am I...Well I seem to convince him that I am. Even though me, Mariana, and I'm pretty sure everyone else in the house has picked up, the fact that I like- No- love Connor.
