'So, Detective, what can I do for you?' Dominic asked offering me a glass of whiskey.

'I got my hands on a record and I want to check it with you, maybe you can ask or give me a hint about the owner of the voice.'

'What do I look like, Detective? A sonar?'

'Just listen to it and I'll never bother you again.'

He sighed, but in the end agreed. After listening the first moments of the recording he recognized the voice right away.

'It's not the Artist. It's someone with a high influence over a lot of people in both normal and underground world.'

I looked at him surprised and ready for any kind of response.

'It's the Vice-President Kan Trakh Lam. He works for a secret organization bigger than the white house, in charge with the military and defense systems in case of wars or anything else that can threaten the Earth itself, not just our country.' He explained.

I was shocked because no one knew about these details, but seems that even Secret Services have Secret Services. So Kan Trakh Lam was the one behind Junior's motivation and tried to blackmail him to kidnap someone. Now question is who? I thanked Dominic for this clue and rushed towards my car. I needed to talk to Shrevenport as fast as possible.

While driving I got a call from Vince. He was finally able to separate the blood types from the blood that I sent him that was on the painting.

'It's only A, B and AB, no sign of type O. More than that I can't find.' He informed me and sent me the list of the blood that was found from left to right.

The list sent by him was looking like this:

B AB A A B A A A A AB B AB AB B A A A A B B A A A A B B A AB A A A A A A A B A A A A

The letters seemed so random at first, but it took me a while to realize that with the Artist, nothing is actually random. I had to put it on a paper and decipher it after talking to Shrevenport.

'Hey, Dorian, what's going on?'

'I need a search warrant for Kan Trakh Lam.' I raised the tone at him as I was getting close to his office desk.

He dropped his jaw hearing this request.

'What the hell, man? Do you even know who that guy is?'

'Apparently the Vice-President of the Secret Services within the Secret Services.' I answered him sharp and put the recording on his table.

'Hmmm that's an interesting evidence you got there.' Shrevenport stated after listening to it.

'That's why I want to get this warrant.'

'Son, have a seat.' Shrevenport told me and invited me to sit down.

'What?'

'I am sorry, but based on this evidence we cannot issue the warrant over such a powerful influence man. More than that I told you to stay away from the Mafia and you hadn't listened to me.'

'How did you even kn...'

Shrevenport interrupted me and shown me a photo on his phone made from Dominic's house. Did he betrayed me or the Artist was watching Dominic too?

'Where did you get that?'

'Sources do not matter, but I am afraid that you will continue on working with the Mafia, so I will have to get you off the case?'

I was in shock of these news. I was never kicked out of a case. And Shrevenport knows that if I am not involved, more people will die, but I won't give up so easily.
