"Are you all packed?"
Hope pulls away from Lizzie's embrace and stands in front of the brunette. "Yeah."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, Jo. I'm sure. I packed everything last night."
"Okay." Josie forcefully pulls Hope making the older girl stumble into her arms.
Josie held Hope tightly that which made it hard to breathe. But Hope didn't complain, she just hugged Josie back and let her squeeze the life out of her. Dying in Josie's arms would be a good way to die.
This hug was longer than the others Hope had just done with the Super Squad.
With Josie, it was always longer. That's why Hope said the brunette for last. That's why she always does. Being last meant Hope could hug Josie as long as she wants without worrying about the next person she has to embrace.
Last was for people special. And Josie is that special someone. Always has been.
Their heartfelt moment comes to a quick stop when Jed wraps his arms around the two girls. Everyone else followed in suit. "Group hug!"
Hope would be pissed at Jed if she didn't actually enjoy this hug.
She was gonna miss them.
The week Hope spent with her friends had been absolutely wonderful.
They were together constantly and when they weren't Hope would spend time with Josie. Hope's break was been great. This was much needed.
Hope is sad that she has to say goodbye to them again. But instead of it being a sad goodbye, filled with tears and sobs, this was a happy goodbye.
All of them were counting down the days they could see each other again.
When it became hard for everyone to breathe, they pulled apart. "I have to go guys. Take care."
"Goodbye, Hope. Have a safe flight."
Hope smiles one last time and heads out of the twins' room. Her luggage and family were already waiting for her at the Mikaelson Manor. Hope had only come to school to say goodbye.
Hope is already out of the school when someone from behind bumps into her. "Hope, wait."
"Jo? What are you doing here? I thought we already said goodbye."
"We did but I just... thought that maybe I could take you to the airport."
Hope smiles. "As much as I would like to take you up on that offer I can't. My family is waiting for me back at the house. We're going together."
Josie looks down at the ground sad. But her expression quickly changes when an idea crosses her mind. "I can come with you!"
"To New Orleans?" Hope asks teasingly, her voice still sounding hopeful.
Josie rolls her eyes, giggling. "No, silly. To the airport."
"But then who's gonna take you home after?"
"I can just take a cab."
"Josie..."
"Please."
"Okay, fine. You can come."
Josie squeals and pulls Hope in for a short hug. "Thank you." Josie grabs Hope's hand, intertwining their fingers, and starts walking.
They walk in comfortable silence for a while, just savoring their time together, until Josie decides to break it when they reach the school gates. Josie asks the other girl the question that's been on her mind since she saw it on social media. "Hope? What was Jed talking about in social media a few days ago? Who were you guys talking about?"
