Will bit the inside of his cheek as Jordan looked him up and down.

"Jordan, aren't you going to say hello to Will like a gentleman?" Adette smiled. Will raised an eyebrow and glared at the slightly shorter male.

"Yeah, how's it going, Will." Jordan mumbled, straightening his stance. Will stifled a chuckle.

"Great, especially knowing I'll be living across from you." Will retorted, crossing his arms across his chest.

"I don't live here, bud." Jordan murmured.

"He lives in a downtown area, not the more sophisticated parts like here in Colette. I've tried to talk him into moving in with me since I've got an extra room, but he declined, sadly." Adette sighed, looking up at Jordan who helplessly grinned back with admiration.

"Why don't you want to? Adette seems like a cool girl to live with." Will asked, frowning as Adette's face turned pale.

"Um, why don't I show you around, Will? I think Jordan's got somewhere to be." Adette hurriedly mumbled, grabbing Will's hand and pulling him towards the apartment building. Will looked over his shoulder before he pushed through the doors.

Jordan was staring at the ground, his hands awkwardly hanging by his side. And Will noticed that somehow, the sun's rays seemed to angle so perfectly that it hit the fringe of his hair and made his it gleam in the afternoon light.

And it made Will's heart skip a beat.

"So, why'd you move here?" Adette asked once they were both safely inside the building's tiny lobby. Will shrugged.

"Wanted to get away from England. I didn't feel like I entirely belonged there."

"But why Seattle?"

"Why not Seattle?"

"W-Well, I mean unless you've been here before or something. I don't know you all too well."

Will leaned against the wall, it smelling vaguely of fresh paint. "I feel like I've been here before, but I even if I have, I don't remember much. I've drowned myself in my family's traditions when I moved back to England and away from America, so lots of things are unfamiliar. How about you? What's the whole ordeal with Jordan? And your name, it's cool."

Adette blushed. "I used to live in Montreal before I came here. Then I stumbled upon Jordan in some random coffee shop sulking like he'd just lost someone important. I cheered him up, and then I asked him to be mine. He complied, but he's always centering his worries around me like I'm the queen of the universe or something. It's cute and all, but he's just. . . clingy."

Will nodded as if he understood. Honestly, he did have a slight affair with a girl in the same building, but it never felt right, so he never looked at the girl ever again. He didn't know what was okay and what was wrong when it came to relationships.

"Sometimes, I feel like Jordan doesn't love me like he should, you know? It's like I'm there to comfort him and hug him when things aren't okay, but I don't exactly want that, if you can catch my drift."

"What do you want, then?"

"I don't know. I'll sound like a complete bitch when I say this, but I thought relationships were supposed to be spending your most precious time together. To get drunk and love life as it is. To do things you'd never thought of doing when you were little. To brave to do things parents always warned us about. Jordan just looks like those kind of guys and he acts tough, but God, is he just a giant teddy bear."
