"Okay, so," you said as you finally calmed your giggles and took a sip of water, "why did you call him 'Milk-Boy?'"
Tendou gave you a look like such an answer was obvious. "He did a magazine interview where he said his favorite food was milk bread."
"So, you called him 'Milk-Boy' to his face?"
Tendou smiled to himself a smug smile as he took a long sip of his drink. He began to sing a quiet melody of "Milk-Boy, Milk-Boy, Milk-boy."
You tried not to laugh with a mouthful of water, but he was making it hard as his gaze raised from his plate to your face and he raised his eyebrows into a strange face as he saw you struggling not to laugh. Lately you had been basically laughing at everything around you because of him.
Ever since you started spending more of your days with him, you realized that you were starting to think of him with basically every little thing– and all of those things made you at least giggle a little bit.
Even something as simple as the cracks in the sidewalk had you thinking of him playing a strange game of hopscotch between each stone that made up the path. As you asked him what he could possibly be doing, he turned back to you with his face aghast. "How could I possibly risk breaking my poor mother's back?"
Now the two of you were sitting at a little table outside of a restaurant, the breeze of the fall blowing through your hair and across your skin. You were starting to lose track of the days more than ever now. It had been– what?-- a month since your first day of class here, but you could hardly even tell.
It felt like you had just arrived, but it felt like you had known Tendou for years. It felt like that first kiss with him was a lifetime ago, and yet every time you looked at him, your butterflies fluttered just as strong.
The two of you spent basically every moment you could together. Recently, he even started just showing up to your dorm without a warning after his practices. He would always be freshly showered– his spiky hair a bit droopier than usual– and dressed in his comfortable clothes. Usually he would sit down on your bed as he watched you work on whatever project, sometimes you would sit together and chat as you usually did.
One day, he came in with his shoulders a little more slumped than usual and you regarded him with concern. "Are you alright?" you asked as you sat up from your bed that you were reading on.
He just let out a simple, sad hum as he walked towards you. As you went to stand up, he quietly said, "No, no."
"No?" you asked, but before he could say anything else, he wrapped his arms around your torso and laid his head against your chest as he crawled onto the bed.
You laid there, flat against your bed as he just let out a small sigh and held you closer. Sure, you had kissed before and he often hung out in your dorm, but there hadn't been much of a moment that you had laid down with him like this.
