Logan awoke to bright lights.
Being from a small town in South Carolina, this wasn't very common. The brightest light in his town was the Walmart sign at opening. The Cicero family lived in a small house about 20 minutes from any school or restaurant. Logan barely ever had anyone over due to this, and he spent most of his time locked in his room.
Yet, this wasn't Silver, South Carolina. It was Reno, Nevada, farther away from his hometown than Logan had ever been. Although this was the case, he'd never felt more at home. The exciting vibes coming from the city made him feel more at home than the farms he'd lived in for twelve years.
The plane ride that morning was exciting yet horrifying. Logan had no idea where he was going. No explanation had been given for where or why they were going. To be honest, he didn't really care.
The cold air in Nevada seemed to make him sharper. He felt like he could do anything. Like he was free. And that was all he needed.
