They looked at each other. Nite looking a little bigger since her fur was puffed out and she was standing taller to intimidate the "threat".
"Hey. Can you do me a favor and stop looking at me like that? Kinda weird." Fracral said in a bored tone. Nite sneered.
"Who are you?"
"Read the tag."
"Already did..."
"Then why are you asking?"
"Because I want to know how the hell we got here." Nite opened the container and walked away from Fractal, frustrated with his smartass commentary.
"Hey! Where are you going?! Who are you?! Oi, black cat, come back!"
Nite spun around and let out a low, hostile growl. "I'm finding answers, unlike you. Of course.... why do I even bother?" Nite sighed and began to walk away again, but stopped when she felt an icy hand on her shoulder. Surprised, she turn around and found herself nose to nose with Fractal.
"Shouldn't we stick together?" He asked as Nite jerked away from his hand. "After all, it doesn't seem like we're in the lab anymore..."
Nite took a good look around, inspecting her surroundings. It was mid afternoon, but chilly as if it were fall. The leaves were bright crimson colors, covering the trees as well as the ground. They had a forest enclosure at the lab, but the leaves and trees were fake. Fractal might be right, perhaps there was safety in numbers.
She loosened her shoulders and turned away with an exaggerated sigh, ".... fine..." she hissed, "but don't slow me down. I'm going to find answers, not friends."
