It was a colder day than it had been for a while, as much as Y/N wished to enjoy it, it was hard when your comforting clothing started to fall apart at the seams. This wasn't a joke, though you prayed it was, instead the pieces were falling off of you in small parts, first it was your shoe giving way, then your jacket getting caught in the door of a coffee shop.
You were so exhausted, it was such a bad day so far, and that was only scratching the surface, and you still had more to deal with. The sun drifted quietly between each small little stretch the clouds had, letting it blind yourself momentarily as you walked among the crowd. Your big toe was threatening to exit from the small hole in your shoe, that was only growing in size, but you had too many plans to fix it together like magic.
You moved towards the stand coming up, which sat snug against the fence of the local park, which had food being sold at an unreasonable amount of money, with a choked sigh you choked over your money, which somehow, was still in your pocket, a grace, finally. You looked over telling the owner, a brown haired man with a light smile worked as he finished up making your food, it was a hotdog, with your favored toppings on it, still warm and steaming, to the point you were worried the breeze was going to make it an ice dog.
You thanked the short man, before moving on, the street still an entire gaggle of people, all shapes and sizes forming in and out of view, some passing, some turning. You gave your food that of a death grip, in all honesty, this little snack was probably going to be the one shining light in the dark for today. Especially considering how today felt like a growing sand pit of inky black sand that would get everywhere and in everything. If that were in physical form, you think you would snap at the mere feeling of sand sinking into your shoe and into your sock. You took a deep breath, leveling yourself, you still had more work, but for now you had time in-between to enjoy your food, sitting down in the park against a wet bench. You grimaced, but continued to sit, your legs were exhausted, the bus you were going to use broke down half way to where you were going, a bike ran into you, and you swore you got a bruise from that. You groaned, and held up the hot dog, muffling your annoyance, hoping it'd lighten the mood.
You closed your eyes, the nice feeling of warm against the cold breezy air was a satisfying feeling, as you bit into the food and enjoyed the taste, the choice of toppings covering it mixing in delightfully, like a chaotic mix of salty and sweet, the bitter and tart, all you could take in.The clicking of something more animalistic caused you to open your drifted eyes. There was a crow sitting next to you, and it turned it's head to the side, eye blinking at you."No..." You verbalized, you did not like where this was going, you worked hard for this delicious fast food off the side of the road, this was your step up from discolored roadkill.
Though, as a crow does, unable to sense any fear, and unable to tell when someone says no, that means stop, the bird squawks before starting to inch closer.
And so, you were in the middle of a pulling battle between the darkened creature and your gloved hands, which were getting dirty since you were grasping onto the slippery dog, which, with a grunt, was lost from your hand.
"Come back here! That's my food!" You grumbled angrily, feet skidding against the ground, the pavement creating a scratchy noise of sheer exasperation.
You were so annoyed, you could not give enough of your time to even pay mention to the looks you were getting from the others around the park, some parents, some children, some coming of age teenagers, even a dog was looking at you, and you sighed, more so groaned loudly. You shoved your cold gloved hands into your pockets of your jacket, you were so done with today, and you still had one more place to go, maybe you could pester your boyfriend and his best friend into letting you off.
You were tempted to ask Sarv if this is worse, or better than hell.
You let that simmer in your brain like an overcooked egg.
The loud sound of the front door creaking open, the tall man swiveled his head to the front door. You looked pissed off, entirely, he could fight, he knew how to, but it scared him when you were angry, not because he was worried you would hurt him, but because you just looked so miserable, and what could have been the cause of it. He was not a reader of emotions, but he was not entirely mute to those emotions.
So, seeing your welcomed face to the church, his feet made his way from his station, and over to you, which your head turned to him, looking at him, which he tilted his head to see what you were thinking, or at least emoting.Yeah, with your eyebrows drawn downwards, and your frown larger than the sun beaming in, it almost entirely trained the warmth to become raging fire.
"Hey." He started, and you replied with a sigh."Hi Ruv..." You said, before walking over to him and just leaning into him, your face of anger and rage now melting off like ice. Though it remained slightly, you still gently wrapped your arms around his leg, and groaned out loudly."Long day?" He asked, leaning down, and wrapping his arms gently around you, it was a bit awkward, due to his size, but it was still an effort you could fawn over, and appreciate.
You nodded into his leg, stating a simple "Yeah." As he continued to hold you, Ruv let his mouth hand open for a moment before feeling his hand against a hole in your jacket, he pulled back gently and grabbed your jacket by the shoulders gently. Despite his size and general demeanor, he was gentle with you like a stuffed toy, and you accepted that, though you were annoyed at the lack of contact you were now given."How did you get these?" He asked, his voice slightly raspy, as he looked it over, removing it from your body and turning it around, the back torn open, though it did not look like that of a knife, or a bullet scrape.
"Door." You said simply, before face planting into his leg once more.He opened his mouth and looked down to you, as you met him with large puppy like eyes, you just wanted to be held and rant about your day. He searched for his words, not wanting to come off brutish. "Do you..." He drifted his words. "Want to talk about it?"You took a deep breath and Ruv was worried he was about to get blasted with twelve war crimes, you looked the part, you started ranting, on and on about your day, and his eyes widened more as he heard just how bad this day tackled you, much as a football game, this time, you were the one getting badly manhandled, personification of a sports ball.
"There was a bird, and I got caught in a door, and a bike hit me, and that crow stole my hotdog!" You ranted, and wiggled your arms like cooked noodles, limp and without purpose, as you continued to let out the longest, strained breath you had.He pat your back awkwardly, as much as he did love you, most of this sounded so out of the box, he was unsure how to comfort you besides the gentle yet firm pats from his palms.
"I'm proud of you..." It almost sounded like a question, but he did mean it. "Today was shit." You spoke, raising your arms and hands to grab onto him like a crab. "Does this make it better?" He asked before pressing his soft lips to your forehead.
"Maybe..." You teased, you still wanted that hot dog back.
