Serj sighed as he looked out the bus window, almost seeming like he was searching for something within the thick darkness of the night. Daron had fallen asleep on the couch next to him, the sound of quiet snoring coming from his sleeping form. Serj was unable to sleep on the moving bus, just watching the dark landscape pass by with only one thing on his mind. Thinking about the last interaction he had with Val before she had to leave on a separate bus. His mind wandered to the feeling of her lips and how fast she melted into his touch. She felt so delicate and warm in his arms despite the chilly night-time weather, and it made him never want to let go. The many mental images he had taken of her over the last few days flooded his thoughts, the way she moved at that party, how her face burned red hot whenever he got too close, the way she looked at even the most mundane sights in awe.

How she pulled her lips away from his, looking at him with wide eyes and a scarlett face. He couldn't get the sight out of his head. In that moment, he felt every emotion rush through his body at once. "I have to go." Was the last thing she said to him before rushing off into the night before Serj could get a word in. He didn't know how to feel about the way she left things off, causing his mind to race in circles. Was it too soon? Had he read her wrong and she wasn't interested in him? So many questions filled his brain to the brim, skin tingling to learn the answers.

The bus suddenly hit a large pothole in the road, causing Daron to jolt awake. It didn't take long for the younger man to notice Serj's conscious self looking at the pitch darkness outside.

"Serj? Are you awake?" The man mumbled his question, unsure if his droswy eyes deceived him. Serj's eyes moved towards Daron, proving that Daron's sleepiness wasn't playing tricks on him.

"No," he responded sarcastically, obviously awake. "I can't sleep," he added.

"What's up? Is something wrong?" Daron asked as he sat up straight from his original laying position while rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Serj debated on whether or not he should tell Daron, somewhat wanting to keep it to himself to avoid any questioning.

"Just hard to sleep while we're moving." He said, once again turning his attention onto the window. Now, what he said wasn't entirely a lie, but it wasn't exactly the truth either. They sat in silence for a few moments, the sound of the wheels on the rough road keeping them company. They both stared out of opposite sides of the vehicle, eyes focused on objects passing by, minds filled with running thoughts.

"So, you and Val," he yawned as he stretched out his body, filling the speechless bus with his voice.

"What about me and Val?" Serj questioned while craning his neck back over at the other man.

"I'm just wondering what's going on with that?" He asked after turning his head to meet what he could see of Serj's face. Serj kept silent for a minute before Daron continued to speak. "And don't act dumb. Anyone with eyes can see that theres something going on between you two." He said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Okay, fine. Maybe I sort of have feelings for Val," Serj finally admitted, causing Daron to straighten himself out a bit.

"Ah ha! I knew it!" He cheered in a hushed tone. "Does she know?" His words filled with interest as he began his interrogation of the situation.

"No, well, I don't know. I don't think it's the right time, I mean I just met her and she's so young. I don't want to feel like I'm stealing her life away." Serj said, feeling a wave of relief after finally getting that out to somebody. He decided it may be best to keep the fact that he kissed her to himself, not wanting to sound like he doesn't have self control or anything. Daron sat there without a word for a moment, taking into account what Serj had said and formulating a response in his head.
