Evie touched up her makeup in the small pocket mirror Larissa gave her. She felt drained and tired. She didn't want to proceed with the mission but she knew she didn't have a choice. She felt the car pull into a circle drive and she knew it was time. "You'll do fine. We're all right here with you." Larissa looked back at Evie and smiled at her. Evie gave her a blank look, scowling slightly. "I don't want any of you interfering unless it's needed. I'll deal with everything tonight." Larissa was shocked by Evie's change in behavior. She was always so sweet, but she looked like she could kill a man right now.

Hera was already in the building and secretly downing champagne. What the hell was her problem? Why didn't she just say how she felt? She ruined everything. She knew she had to do it for the mission though. Did Evie really love her or was she really just trying to find something to distract her. Hera was keen on reading people but, she couldn't read Evie. That's what had first intrigued her. "You look lonely. Trust me, downing champagne won't help you, dear" Hera looked over to be met with bright green eyes. The woman in front of her was absolutely gorgeous. She had dark black hair and a tight red dress, hugging every curve. Hera rolled her eyes, "I'm not trying to drown out my worries. I'm not lonely either. I'm just tired." Great lie Hera, she thought. The woman simply smirked into her champagne glass, staying by Hera's side.

Evie didn't know what to do. She just had her heart ripped out and stomped on and now she was expected to go in and flirt with and man in hopes of figuring out if he was dangerous or not. She sighed, she had to do this. She had already planned for something like this to happen. "Evie, I know what you're thinking. If you do it... I won't say anything." Evie met eyes with Larissa in the rearview mirror. Larissa knew. Evie smiled at her. "Thank you, Larissa. I really owe you my life. I have to do this mission. I'll do it with pride." Larissa was crying now. They were getting ready to pull up to the building. Evie leaned forward and put her hand through the small window in the limo, her hand landing on Larissa's awaiting palm. They squeezed each other's hands, tight. They let go and Larissa got out of the limo and went around to open up Evie's door. Cameras were flashing, and people were screaming. Larissa opened the door and Evie stepped out. They made short eye contact, a silent agreement.

When the doors opened into the big hall, Hera looked up and almost spit her drink out. "Alright, Evie is in the building. Our target is currently speaking with a politician. Oh, wait, he's looking at Evie! He's looking! Evie, make yourself look amazing going down hose stairs!" William was screaming into the mic and Evie and Hera couldn't help but laugh a little. Evie slowly descended the stairs, casting a small smile to a few people. Then, she saw him. He was walking toward her and by the time she reached the last step, he was already holding his hand out for her to take. A collection of gasps were heard. Evie understood why. She was some random woman who was suddenly being asked to dance by the man of the hour. "You look quite lovely tonight ma'am. May I have this first dance?" Evie smiled lightly, "Why thank you monsieur. I would love to dance with you." Hera gagged at the sight. She knew Evie had to do it but watching her do it after that talk they had made Hera sick. "Oh, I see, In love with someone you can't have?" Hera glanced at the woman next to her "Oh shut up."

"So what is your name, my love?" The man, Chris Allwere, twirled her around and held her close to him. "Evangeline Jennings, my father is a high man. I've never been to a gala." He simply chuckled at her. She really was dazzling. A light personality and smile. Everything he has ever looked for. He knew the moment she walked into the room. "I'm so glad you decided to attend my gala. I feel as though it was fate that we met." Evie giggled at that, "I can't help but think you're right." The song finally came to an end and Hera couldn't have been happier. Hopefully, Evie will come over to get champagne and they could talk. Maybe Hera could also get rid of this damn woman at her side. "Evie, remember, we need information about him.", Jospeh seemed even calmer talking to Evie. He had heard the entire talk after all. He didn't want her blowing up. The line was dead, Evie was supposed to say something back. The silence was eerie. Larissa knew what was next and so did William. He typed in the code he needed. Larissa pulled up and glanced at the bag in the back seat. She opened her door and reached under the car. She pulled out the tracking device and smashed it under her foot. William deleted the signal before Joseph could look.

"Evie, are you alright?", Hera asked into the coms. She was trying to see over the people but she couldn't. "Now." It was Evie's voice, it was demanding. Suddenly, the lights went out. "Evie! Are you alright? Answer me!" Hera was pushing pasts people, trying to see at least something. "William, what is going on?" Then, the lights turned back on. Hera found herself in the middle of the dance floor. She looked down and lost her breath at what she saw. A stem of baby's breath laying trampled on the floor. Hera bent down and picked it up. "William, Joseph, what was that." Hera was breathing heavily, looking around desperately trying to find her. "You should head back to the hotel Hera." It was Joseph and he sounded angry. Hera did as she was told and headed out of the building. She was met with Joseph sitting in a car. She opened the door, "Where's Larissa?" Joseph was gripping the wheel and looking straight ahead, "We don't know. The better term is I don't know. William won't say shit." He was driving fast. Hera's head was spinning. They didn't know where Evie or Larissa were. Hera gripped the small piece of baby's breath and she didn't notice one of the small flowers fall into the car floor.
