AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Morgan slowly scaled the step ladder up to this missive house that gently swayed back and forth. And with the gentlest of pushes the swung the door open reveling a truly magnificent sight. Small orbs floated around illuminating even the smallest of corners, as brooms swept the floors, dishes washed themselves with the help of a few washcloths, all accompanied by the sound of songbirds yet to be seen. How could anyone make something like this? It was almost exactly how Morgan envisioned magic when they where a young kid before they... They shook their head. I left that place, that kingdom, that family. I have no reason to try to think about what happened. It wont make anything better.

With that reminder they started to walk through the kitchen. Many of the floating orbs now seemed to have noticed them and slowly floated around as to light their way throughout the house. They are so cute. I want to keep one so badly. They quickly poked one that was close, warm, interesting. I didn't expect that. I think they are trailing off towards a certain direction. Lets follow. And so they did.

Fourth door on the right up the staircase hiding within, fifth door on the left leads to a library with a spiral staircase. Up those then make a harsh right again to the third window. Step out of it onto the ledge and go out the ladder up to another ledge and into the room attached and out that door to the left is a small closet... And a book? Morgan shook their head. I should have known better than to follow wisps. That's the only thing these glowing balls could be and one only got a flip of the coin if these fickle creatures would lead to them to something useful. Flipping open their prize for following realized how wrong they where. This book was lined on the inside with magic.

With one smooth movement they took out their notebook to write down the inscriptions on the pages to try and decipher them. The little wisps who  where quiet started to giggle seeing how hard Morgan was working to figure out what they already knew. It was more amusing than handing Alex the wrong vile. But amusement was short lived for these tiny floating balls when Morgan jumped up in excitement. It was the book that controlled the house. Each line was a very intricate written cardiants to the exact place the house would move to. I could make the whole house take me to Cancoden. This wizard is amazing. How did they even figure this out?

And with that and a few strokes of quill Morgan easily wrote in the new words to bring them right to Cancoden. Their safe haven. The best spot they could be. Unlike Alex who may have chosen a bit more violence then they should have that day.

When Alex landed on the temple grounds they immediately shrunk themselves to the size of a pixy and snuck in through the cracks in the marble. If anyone could have seen their face they would have been able to see the glee in their soul from how easy it was to just waltz right past the main hall into the kitchens, back to the rooms in the back, through the stables and into the training grounds. Hiding their gems in the darkest spots in each room they made their way back to the front of the temple right outside the door.

As Alex Grew back to their original size they toyed with the last unplaced gem. Cracking it right in front of the gargantuan cathedral doors it exploded with the force of a tornado breaking the doors off their own hinges alerting everyone to who just arrived; because  why would one knock when they could blow out the door instead.

The paladins scrambled as fast as they could through the corridors as the clerics started their chants to try and put up some type of protection. Chad lead the charge as per normal. Alex never understood why he wore a mask, he couldn't bother to remember his "paladin name", it was obvious that he was the next in line. It defiantly wasn't at all stealthy given the capital was only a few days walk from the temple. Talk about mixing religion and politics.

"The Mad Wizard! Thank you for surrendering and saving us the time!" Chad egotistical at their worst and dumb as a nail at best. "The light of the gods will heal your past sins"

"Are you sure?" Alex smiled gleefully as with just a flick of their fingers their hours of work went off. An assortment of natural disasters wiggled their way into each tiny section of the temple; lightning filled the stables, fire engulfed the stables, waters flooded the kitchens, and the chandler above the praying clerics opened up into a missive storm. "O would you look at that?"

Chad stopped smiling, finally getting a little more serious for Alex, and charged with his glowing sword. Alex didn't even break a sweat dodging Chad, it looked more like they where dancing than an actual fight. That aggravated Chad more than Alex could have predicted. "What are you clerics doing?!? Are you even trying..." before Chad could even finish that sentence Alex grabbed his left arm with theirs pulling it behind his back, placing their right hand on his left shoulder.

"Remember now, only you can be blamed for this." With just a tug, a cracking pop, and Chad's screams his arm came off much like one would break off a chicken leg. "Shhhhhhh. That's not how you thank me. I graciously noticed you gained a few pounds so I was just helping a little."

Chads and his arm though was just the distraction the clerics needed. Finishing their incantations a bubble formed around Alex. If only they had been a moment sooner they would have been able to escape but as soon as the bubble finished Alex could feel their magic fade. But there was a consolation prize. Chad's arm was in there with them and there was no way he was getting it back. Wile it wasn't a win it wasn't a full loss. Or at least that is what Alex told themselves to not feel so dumb for being caught.
