A Stupid Wish

Sitting lonely on her bed Amara was lost in her deep thoughts, thinking about him, why did she felt this way? He was just a side-bad character in the movies and comics, he lied to her and betrayed her, then why him? All of her thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Come in!" she said as she quickly wiped some tears.

"Hey!" said Captain.

"Hello Captain" faked smile Amara.

"Steve, please" he said.

"Ok Steve" she smiled.

"What happened back there? In Hydra, was there something between you?" he asked politely.

"Wh- no! We were just friends, he backstabbed me, actually stomach-stabbed me, but yes, friends" Amara lied and laughed.

"So what made you fell for him?" asked Steve.

"I- We first met, he was bit polite to me, I mean after they kidnapped me, we were good friends when I become a Hydra agent, we used my laptop- I mean some of my predictions for taking over SHIELD, he was good towards me, we used pet names, he trained me too! Its just-I- I don't know, this isn't love, right? He wanted to bring be back to them because if he didn't do that, they would kill me, they used me to kill innocent people, I would love to die instead of doing that, I tried it once but I just can't die from anything but old age, my friends thought it was a good idea to give healing factor to my OC but it is like a burden to me now-" Amara realised that she was about to reveal herself.

"OC? What is that? Rumlow mentioned that earlier when you talked-I mean if you are not comfortable don't tell me, it's ok" he said.

"You all won't accept me if I tell you, well, some of you won't believe me" Amara sighed.

"We love you and trust you" Steve said as he patted he shoulder.

"You all found me yesterday, still you trust me?" asked Amara.

"Yes" Steve replied.

"Ok" she sighed "One night before our trip to Greece, I was packing my bags and was talking to Stacy and Jane, my best friends, about visiting my aunt, I heard my mum call my name, I greeted bye to my friends and was heading downstairs but what I saw next changed my whole life, my mother's lifeless body, they shot her, she was laying in pool of her own blood, they pinned my father to the wall asking for his software's details, they wore black uniform and mask, I didn't knew what was happening, I was just standing there, 'Is she your daughter?' I was back to the reality, I heard a familiar voice, my father begged for my safety, he was shouting at the men there, one of em came to me, I-I don't know what was on my mind, I picked a knife from the counter, he asked my name but I was just shouting at him to stop coming near me, he asked me to drop the knife, I didn't-" she was crying now, Amara took a deep breath and continued "He twisted my arm and took the knife, my jacket was ripped now, he was staring at my shirt, I was wearing my 'Hail Hydra' merch with the Hydra logo on it-" Steve cut her.

"Hydra has their own clothes?" he asked.

"I am getting there- he called his leader, the leader pinned me to the wall and shouted at me about how I knew Hydra, I was confused, they were in comic and movies in my dimension- I know it sounds crazy but lemme finish, Steve. I told him about what I knew of Hydra, it was a fictional organisation ran by Red Skull, I explained to them it as all fictional, superheroes didn't exist in real life. One of em had my phone, he saw the Winter Soldier wallpaper, I once again told them it is fictional, he injected me with something and I passed out, I opened my eyes, I was blindfolded and strapped to a table, I heard a man, he sounded old, he had an American accent, I tried to move but a tray fell of the table, the man asked 'Hazel Edwards?' I nodded, he asked me about knowing Winter Solider, Zola and other programs, I just nodded and said yes. They opened my blindfold, I saw Fra- Rumlow, Pierce and Bucky. I was shocked, I hoped that it was a prank for a Marvel project, it wasn't, they killed my parents" Amara was crying on Steve's shoulder, she explained the rest to Steve, he was shocked, he didn't knew that people from the other dimension make comics and movies about them "Brock gave me training, he sometimes helped me with my mission, in fact, he helped me in all of my missions when I joined, he was serious and bad with others and funny and good with me, maybe that is the reason I fell" Amara finished.

"I understand, it is sometimes complicated to love someone, we think we don't love them but we just don't understand the relationship between us and them so we just try to ignore it, hide it but can't ignore or hide it" Steve said as he stroked Amara's hair "You know everything that will happen now? Stark told me that you can predict things, you can see possibilities, is that true or you just have seen the movies and know what will happen?" he asked, Amara nodded.

"I was 8 when I watched the first Ironman movie and I just fell in love with the characters, I was 12 when I saw you all together, a magical moment for me. I wish that I could just undo my stupid birthday wish" Amara said.

"Let's go somewhere out to cheer up your mood! I tell Stark to reserve tables for all of us" he said and left.

"Thanks" Amara said.
