Six month time skip. It's the second week of August. Which means it's the week of Soph's birthday. Ash wants to do something really special for Soph. It's Soph's 18th birthday.
*conversation between Venti and Ash*
Venti: oh hi Ash. What are you doing here?
Ash: I wanted to ask you something.
Venti: um alright
Ash: so it's Soph's birthd-
*Venti interrupts Ash*: I knew that *Venti says as they rub thier hand on the back of their neck*
Ash: right..... Sure you did
Venti: okay I didn't.... I forgot about your power that you can sense dishonesty and shit like that
Ash: it's pretty useful
Venti: meanwhile I control darkness and Shadows
Ash: Venti you distracted me!
Venti: sorry.... I'm good at that. Anyway what do you want?
Ash: so basically today is Soph's birthday and i-
*Venti interrupts Ash again*: wait it is?
Ash: VENTI! LET ME SPEAK GOD DAMMIT

Ash: so I got Soph 2 special things but since mine and hers anniversary is 4 days after her birthday and I want to give her one today and one on our anniversary. Help
Venti: well what exactly did you get her
Ash: they're both custom but one is a promise ring and the other is a special necklace
Venti: I say ring today (Friday) necklace Tuesday
Ash: understandable
Venti: so are we doing the big hangout with everyone for Soph's tonight or tomorrow
Ash: tomorrow, it's just gonna be Soph and I tonight
Venti: doing what *implying they'll fuck*
Ash: NOT LIKE THAT!
Venti: you guys have been dating for six months but you might as well just say 4 years because you've been platonically married to her and have been basically dating her for like the whole time you've known her have you guys haven't even came close to fucking?
Ash: VENTI!
Venti: just making a point
Ash: I don't feel sexual attraction, she does. Your point is?
Venti: fuck her already. You guys have been dating for 4 1/2 years
Ash: no we both are not interested in doing sexual stuff.

Ash leaves Venti's house and has to get things ready while Soph is with her family. Ash decided to go with what Venti said by giving Soph the promise ring on her birthday then the necklace on thier anniversary. Time passes and Ash goes and picks up Soph from her house. Soph's sister Nomi was being nosey as usual. Ash takes Soph to her favorite restaurant for a date. This is where Ash mentions something.
Ash: happy birthday baby.
Soph: thanks babe
Ash: I got you something but I wanna kinda explain something before you see it.
Soph: okay
Ash's pov: I got soph a promise ring that looks like this

Ash: I love you so much. You mean the absolute world to me. I honestly have no fucking clue what I would I do without you and I know it sounds a little cliche bit I mean every word that I am saying rn. *gives Soph the ring box in another box so a box in a box*

Ash: I know that we're 18 well you are now 18 today and I thought that a promise ring would be something you'd like. Ik it's a bit early but I want you in my life forever but it's too early to get engaged but I want you to know that you are mine no matter what and even through all of the shit we've been through together that hasn't torn us apart it's only helped us grow stronger together. Soph: I FUCKING LOVE IT! *with tears in her eyes and hugging Ash so tight that he can barely breathe*
Ash: baby I love you... But I can't breathe
Soph: sorry
Ash: it's ok *Ash says while putting the promise ring on Soph's finger*
Soph: it fits perfectly

Ash: what have I said about trying to use a hug as a murder weapon
Soph: sorry.... They do make the perfect weapon tho
Ash: Soph.....

Ash: I fucking love you
Soph: I fucking love you too. You always say it first, why is that?
Ash: something I always say is "don't be afraid to overuse the words "I love you" because you never know when it will be the last time you're able to say it to them"
Soph: that's so true
Ash and Soph have a nice dinner together and Soph stays the night at Ash's house. Ash gives Soph a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie to change into so she didn't have to sleep in her favorite pair of overalls. They cuddle on Ash's bed while watching season 5 of 9-1-1. Soph falls asleep first as usual with her head on Ash's chest. Soon after the episode ends Ash falls asleep holding Soph like a big teddy bear.
The next day around 10am, Venti, Blu, Max, Integrity, Ty and Dex come over to have a sort of game day/night with Soph and Ash. Dex and Ty got Soph a sketch book and some art/writing supplies to use when she sits on the beach watching the sunset while drawing/writing. Max and Integrity got Soph's favorite picture of her and Ash where they are wearing eachother's hoodie and Ash is wearing Soph's beanie that started an inside joke in the group framed. They got 2 copies framed so that both Soph and Ash could have one. Blu and Venti got Soph a stuffed bunny with Ash's signature on the chest. Everyone plays every game you could think of especially cards against Humanity and of course either integrity or Blu won most of the time. Fucked up bitches
As the night came to an end around sunset Ash and Soph walk on Soph's favorite beach and they go to her favorite spot to sit and draw or write. Once they get to the spot they sit and watch the sunset while Ash has their arm around Soph.
