BJARTE'S POV:

I pushed my way through the right bar crowd. I had my eyes fixed on the yellow and black clothes team in one of the corner stalls. I saw one of the players, Martha Stings, I presume, leaned over to say something to the man I wanted to speak to. Ludo Humbug.

I could feel my cheeks get red with embarrassment, but I kept a steady pace towards the winning team. I arrived by the table and stuck my hand out to Ludo. He looked at me with a soft look. I stood my ground and waited for him to shake it. And he did.

"Hello! My name is Bjarte Brøl, and I was to commentator for this today's match." I said in my usual peppy voice. "I just wanted to say to you that I very much enjoyed watching your great playing out on the field today."

"Why, thank you," Ludo answered, in a sincere voice. "And, thank you, for mentioning my 20th anniversary."

"Of course! I remember seeing you at that first match! What were you, 17? 18?" Ludo nodded at the latter, with a growing smile. "It was so much fun watching you that day. You did a great job, even though it was your first."

We just looked at each other for what seemed like ages.

LUDO'S POV:

I was knocked in my side by the keeper, Otto. I realized that I had been staring at Bjarte for a while, so I looked away. A blush crept up my cheeks. Shit. Bjarte must have noticed because he also looked away. Our moves caused my teammates to snicker. I glared at Martha and Otto.

"Shut up," I warned, but still trying to suppress a smile. I looked back to Bjarte and said "Sorry about them. They're idiots."

Bjarte laughed at the remark, "That's okay." He looked around a bit. "Well, I better get going! Lovely meeting you all."

"You too!" I answered, my eyes following him as he made his way outside. I noticed how his grey suit was fit exactly for his slim figure, twisting with his movements. When he finally went out the bar door, I looked down on the glass in my hand, smiling. I felt an elbow in my arm and looked up to see Martha wiggling her eyebrows.

"Stop!" I laughed at the remark. My eyes glanced back at the door. Two tall, dark-dressed people walking out the door.
