I woke up one morning to my parents fighting again. I had enough and texted my best friend Hayes asking him if I could come over. He offered to pick me up because it was raining but I didn't want my parents to find out so I just walked. by the time I got to his house I was soaking wet and crying. he opened the door and pulled me into a big hug. he gave me a sweatshirt and I put my hair in a ponytail. He asked me what was wrong and I managed to get out the words "my.parents.won't.stop.fighting." Hayes just looked at me and told me he was sorry, it was kind of weird, mostly because I really like him.
Hayes POV
Y/n looked so gorgeous. I have had a crush on her forever. she told me that her parents wouldn't stop fighting and I was speechless I had no idea what to say, so I randomly said the first thing in my head, "I'm so sorry." we just sat there in complete silence looking at each other. I slowly leaned in and kissed her

We just sat there, but then he kissed me. I really liked it but didn't know what to do so I kissed him back and within seconds we both pulled away shocked at what just happened. he looked at me and said "I love you." what is this for real I thought but I said "I love you more." just a little to fast.
