Y/N'S POV

The biggest mistake I've ever made happened five tears ago today. I turned down the love of my life's proposal just because of what? Because I'm too afraid. Back then, I was a coward. Narcissa had planned the ideal proposal, but I declined. Everyone was so angry at me that they didn't even give me a chance to explain myself. Not even my family. But the Marauders did.

"She would've made such a lovely bride, what a shame she's f'cked in her head" they said.

They said, Narcissa and I were the Hogwarts 'it couple' back then. Well I can say the same, we were so perfect. People were so envious of us, we both spent the majority of our time in libraries, cuddling and reading books. We were each other's protectors, and we changed each other's lives.

"Hey Earth to Y/N, are you alright" I completely forgot that I was with padfoot, "I'm sorry, I zoned out" I replied.

"You're having the death eater meeting later right?" Sirius asked, trying to catch a fly.

"Yeah, in the Malfoy Manor" I gritted. I'm going to see her after 5 years, does she still looks the same?

"Do I have to remind you again that what happened five years ago was not entirely your fault?" Sirius looked at me. I placed my head to his shoulder and tried not to cry. He rubbed my shoulders.

"I thought I was your everything? Were you really inlove with me? What we had- was that all real? You know what? No, don't answer that question. Leave" Narcissa practically yelled, pointing at the door.

"Narcissa let me explain! I can't lose you, please." I begged, our eyes interlocked.

"Y/N don't make this hard for me, just leave. You saying no to my proposal is enough." she sighed, tears falling from her eyes.

"She didn't even make me explain, pads. Do you think if she knew the reason, we would still be together?" I asked wiping my tears with Sirius shirt.

"First of all stop using my shirt, thank you" he rolled his eyes. "I had already explained this to you, Merlin knows how many times. Both of you were wrong and had made a mistake. And yes, I think you two would still be together. Living your best life, married or not married.

There was a total silence until Regulus entered the room to tell me that we're leaving.

"Hey you, make sure that you will be in Y/N's side the entire time, okay?" Sirius told his younger brother. Reg nodded.

We apparated to the Manor, I've been here before when I was a child, my parents used to bring me here when they had to meet with the Malfoys, so I kinda knew the way in. I froze at the front door, someone is telling me not to go inside. Regulus held my hand and reassured me that everything is going to be okay.

I heard a soft laugh which made my heart sank, I haven't heard her for years. I missed her so much. She still looks the same except she had changed her hair color. It was now two toned. "Narcissa isn't a death eater, what is she doing here? I know this is her house but she's not supposed to be in the actual meeting." I thought to myself.

"There you are, I thought you had lost your way in." Bellatrix scoffed. I know she hates me, of course I had broken her little sister's heart. I made eye contact with Narcissa but it was broken when the dark Lord arrived.

"Before I start, I just want to say thank you to Y/N. Today marks the fifth year she had been a death eater, she's been loyal and useful to me." Voldemort said and continued to speak.
