That year was a special one for the Demon. He got to take three souls that day: her father, her mother and her little sister.
She is determined. Though she misses her family, she does not wish for their souls to be reunited. She wants to live. So she does everything she can do to survive.
He knows her scent though; it's embedded into his memory from when he stole her family away. She stayed quiet; she hid until he left.
But he could smell her.
He's been searching for her ever since.
