Chapter 24

cam's pov:

We sat at the table eating our pizza.

"can I say a joke?" Nash asks.

"okay weirdo..?" she says.

"okay,so,knock knock" he says.

"who's there?" we say in unison.

"banana" he says.

"nash we both know your going to keep saying banana and then at the end say orange and then go orange you glad and didn't say banana?" I say with a straight face that soon turns into a smile and then we all start cracking up.

I get up and throw my plate out.Bella gets up and throws her plate away also.

"hey,you want to go out with me tomorrow night?" I ask.

"cam.....I'm really sorry....but I can't" she says.

"oh...why not?" I say sadly,I really like her.

"because I'm still not over matt.....I'm so sorry." she says.

"I think I'm just going to get a ride from jess...." she says.

"okay...sorry if I made this awkward...." I say.

"no you didn't..." her look says it all that it was indeed quite awkward

Even nash thought it.He stood there wide-eyed and looked straight ahead at us and then he awkwardly started rubbing the back of his neck.

bella's pov:

"Bye guys!Thanks for the pizza,and I'll get these clothes back to you soon!" I say.

"Bye!" they both say.

I walk out of the apartment and down to the lobby.I see Jess's black Range Rover in the parking spaces.I walk over to it.

"hey..." I say.

"it didn't work out well...?" she asks.

"yeah.." I say.

"just try to forget about it,what did you do that made it so awkward?" she asks.

"w-we...kinda....made out.." I say.

"okay,so was it like bad or did it just like not feel right?" She asks.

"no!It felt fine,it's just he asked me out after and I still have feelings for matt." I say.

"well,want to go get some Starbucks?get your mind off things?" she asks.

"yes!" I say.

I love Starbucks!

I woke up the next morning and opened the doors to my balcony.The air was warm,the palm trees swayed slightly.I watched the ocean as the waves crashed upon the shore of the white sand.I looked out towards the street and saw that it was full of life.People talking,washing cars,running,walking there pets,and much more stuff.

I walked back in and closed the door.I went into the bathroom and took a shower.I got out and went to blow dry my hair.I straightened it over a little and made sure it was really straight.I put it in a high pony tail, with some light makeup,and looked through my closet for an outfit.I found (outfit above) and put it on.

Then I slipped on my white converse,a gold necklace,and my sunglasses.I walked downstairs to eat breakfast.After I ate, I went to leeann's room and knocked on the door.

" come in! " she yelled through the door.

I open the door and she's laying down in her bed on her phone.

" hi bella. " she says.

" hi leeann, do you want to go to the mall with me? " I ask her.

" did someone say the MALL? " mikey pops his head in.

" yes mikey. " I laugh at him.

" oooh can I come with? " he asks.

" if you want, if leeann is going. " I say.

He looks at leeann happily and gives her the puppy eyes.

" yeah why not? " she says.

" okay! " I say walking out her door as mikey and leeann follow.

Mikey decides he wants to drive to the mall since he's so " great " at driving... well he's actually not at all. He SPEEDS all the time and it makes me extremely nervous. I sit back in my seat and pray that we make it to the mall alive and in one piece.
