"Hey shithead, wake the hell up!" My older brother, Mickey said while hitting my leg. I opened my eyes and rolled over.I sat up on my bed, glaring at him.

I saw that my sister, Mandy woke up,too.

"Mickey, Its summer." I snapped, rubbing my eyes.

It was 9:00, but thats still early for a near-end-summer day.

"Well, it's almost over. I gotta go to the store, get up." I stumbled up and flipped him off as I went to look for some decent clothes. I sighed, walking to my dresser. I settled for a pair of cargo deep green shorts and a thin brown tank I found in Mandy's closet. I ran out and grabbed my dirty warn out high top converse. I looked at myself in a tiny mirror. I looked at my loose braid I had in the day before and tightened the hair tie at the end. I hurried out the door to see Mickey waiting in our trashy car.

"Bye Mandy!" I yelled before shutting the door.

I knew Mickey and Mandy loved me, not so much my dad and other two brothers. They cared about me, but didnt always want to show it. Mandy always wanted me to be happy, even if she wasn't. Mickey would beat someone up any day if they do so much as look at me. My family is weird, Mandy, Mickey, and I are pretty much the most functioning people of the family. I was greatful for them.

"Took you long enough." He revved the engine.

"Uh-huh" I yawned.

I looked at the backseat. My skateboard was laying on the seat.

"Hey, can you drop me off around here, I wanna skate?" I asked eagerly.

"Yeah, whatever." he replied, pulling over.

I grabbed my board out of the back and watched him drive away. Once the car was out of site I started skating, swirving side to side on the empty sidewalk.
