(POV Mika) It was a Tuesday, the sun was shining and everything seemed to be brighter. I came downstairs to see my father sitting on the couch, reading the paper. I walked over to my seat praying he wouldn't see my top. "Mika." I turned around slowly. "I'm disappointed in you Mika, you know you're not allowed to wear crop tops, put a sweater on now." He ordered. "Yes, dad," I said quietly. I walked over to the closet and pulled out an oversized sweater. "Better." He smiled. "Remember to get good grades, oh and say hi to your brother for me." I nodded giving him a thumbs up. When I finally got out of the house I grabbed my AirPods and put them in my ears. I checked to see if I was alone and I grabbed my phone from my pocket. Opening up Dotify (haha get it like Spotify) I clicked my personalized playlist. Numb Little Bug started playing, and I felt myself getting into the song. "Do you ever get a little bit tired of life like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die?" I sang quietly. "Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive." "I didn't know you could sing?" I jumped up startled. Noticing that it was Bose I sighed with relief. "You scared me!" I said looking annoyed. "Sorry... Why didn't you tell me you can sing." He asked, looking curious. "I don't know, maybe because we never brought it up," I responded looking at my phone. "But I'm your best friend, we're supposed to tell each other everything," Bose explained. I was about to say something when we arrived at SWAG. We walked inside to see Miles and Chapa sleeping in their chairs. Bose and I looked at each other and smirked. I walked over to Miles and Bose went to Chapa. I threw Bose Schwoz's hey-horn and silently counted to three. "Wake up!!!!" I super-screamed at the same time Bose squeezed the hey-horn loudly. Miles and Chapa screamed and fell out of their chairs. Bose and I laughed and watched our friends struggle to get up. "Who hey-horned me!" Chapa yelled, her hands sparking angrily. Her eyes scanned the room and landed on Bose who was holding the hey-horn. "Oh no." He said. Chapa started chasing Bose around the room trying to zap him. "Never hey-horn a woman!" Chapa screamed while chasing him. I laughed and watched them, knowing fully well that it would not end well for Bose. "How was the morning?" Miles asked curiously. "Don't wanna talk about it." I slumped down in my chair. "Was it that bad?" He questioned. "He made me put on a sweater because I was wearing a crop top," I answered. "Seriously?" Miles exclaimed. I nodded, "seriously." My brother leaned back in his chair and made his thinking face. "What else has he done?" "One time when I got a B+ on a test, he made me live in the basement for a week, and another time when I didn't come home until 10 pm he scolded me, then hit me with a whip." I shuddered at the memories. "Mika, you have to get out of that house, you're not being treated right!" Miles exclaimed. I knew he was right, I did need to get out of the house. "Where would I go?" I asked. "You can stay with me," Chapa said, coming up to us. "I um overheard your guy's conversation." She explained. "Could I really stay with you?" I asked hopefully. Chapa nodded, "of course, it's been pretty lonely since my sister moved to that fancy boarding school." "Thank you thank you!" I jumped up and wrapped my arms around her in a hug. "On second thought-" Chapa started to say. I released her from the hug, understanding the message. "Sorry." I apologized. "It's fine, just don't hug me ever again." She said, "Hey, has anyone seen Bose?" Miles asked. Chapa pointed to the front of the room "There." Miles and I turned to see him passed out in front of Ray's teacher stand. "I think there's only one way to wake him up..." I smirked grabbing the hey-horn. "Lemme do it please!" Chapa begged, reaching for the horn. "Of course!" I handed her the horn and watched as she slowly walked over to Bose. Chapa knelt down and gently leaned down towards his face as if she was going to kiss him. She suddenly brought the hey-horn out and blew it in his face, while laughing. I tried not to laugh, but it was impossible. Bose shot up and accidentally hit his head on the stand, "who did that!" He exclaimed looking at us. Chapa threw the hey-horn at Miles and pointed to him. "Miles did." Chapa and I laughed as Bose started chasing Miles around, except that Miles would teleport every now and then, so Bose would have to turn around and go back to places. For once the thought of my father didn't cross my mind once, I had a feeling my life was about to get much better.

Second one-shot done!!! This one-shot is going to have 2 parts to it. The second part will be about Mika leaving her house and, moving in with Chapa. It will also feature Mika and Chapa adjusting to living together. Also I know in the show Mika's dad isn't really like that. Not all of the one-shots are going to be canon to the show, I might branch out and write a certain character in a different way than they are portrayed on the show.
