I could be following a potential rapist for all I know. I was looking at Mark's back. It looked nice... Wait, what? Why am I even thinking about that?
"Come here, you space out too much." Mark said, putting his arm out.
I walked faster, but not going into his arms.
We've finally reached his home.
"It's not the best, but I am still going to high school...""No, it's ok. At least you live in a house and not an apartment" I reassure him.
I feel like a house is better than an apartment, just more space. Now that I think about it, apartments could just be hotels that you stay in and pay rent. It kind of makes sense, right?
"Ah Mark!!" I come back into reality hearing this.
I see this blonde haired boy. He kind of looks buff, but no judgement, he does kind of look good.
"Annyeong, Yugyeom-a" Mark greets him. A? So they're friends I guess.
"How was scho—""Who might this be?" This Yugyeom person looks at me with curious eyes.
"Oh, ChoHee-ya? She's a friend I met at school when I transferred." Mark answers Yugyeom's question.
"She looks quite familiar, doesn't she?" Yugyeom says suspiciously while looking at Mark.
"But not the matter, welcome!!"Yugyeom pulls me in to their house.
"May I ask you, what you— How old are you?" Yugyeom cuts off his original question to ask another.
"I'm 18" I tell him.
"Ah, can I call you Noona?"
"Sure, I guess""Can I ask, what brings you here?" He then asked another question.
"Mark asked for help" I answered.
"Help for what?"
"Studies"
"Oh ok""So what do you need help with?" I asked Mark.
"Math" he answered while pulling out his math book.
"Specifically this one"I explained to him how to solve the question, but he still looked confused.
"I'm sorry, but do you speak English?" He then asked.
"I still have some trouble with my Korean.""Um, I guess I can explain in English" I tell him.
"Thank you"While I was helping he would occasionally ask other questions about my background. Things like, "Do you have family living in Korea with you?" Or "do you have siblings?" And "Where you were born?"
I answered them because I didn't want to be rude, but I found it kind of weird...
Maybe because I'm not used to going to others' houses besides Jackson. Mark is okay, I guess.
"Let me walk you home, it's late" Mark offers. I helped with all he needed and I was going to leave.
"No it's ok"
"Do you know how to get home from where I live?"I paused, I don't really know how to get home.
"Let me walk you home, and when we get to a familiar setting, I let you go by yourself. If you want.""Fine"
After walking past some stop signs, trees and bushes, I finally recognize my surroundings.
"Mark-op..pa you don't have to walk with me anymore" I stuttered on oppa.
Damn, I haven't said oppa in a long time. It feels so weird to say it.
I looked at Mark and I guess he smiled when I said "oppa"
"Oh ok, you ok by yourself?" He seemed concerned.
"Yes, I'm not a child anymore""Well, ok see tomorrow at school. Bye" he said then waved.
I continued walking down the road I see everyday. I see the same houses, the same huge trees, the same bushy bushes.
Still looking around the environment, I felt a hand go around my mouth. Preventing me from screaming.
I felt this person or persons pin my hands behind my back. I was about to use my legs, but someone had grabbed them.
My vision soon went black.
What is happening?
