(o3.) LACROSSE AND DEREK HALE
Juliet was always the first to advocate against any sport. She felt like even the idea of sports was stupid. Who thought it was a good idea to throw a girl high into the air as she spins, or for boys to tackle each other over a ball. She just didn't think it made sense.
But that didn't mean Scott and Stiles didn't pull her along to every lacrosse game and practice they could get her at even if neither of them had ever made it off the bench.
"I don't want to be here." Juliet reiterated, letting her friend know that she in fact, did not want to be there. "Juliet this is one of those friendship moments where you support us even in our doomed to fail moments." Stiles responded, readjusting his shoulder pad. "I think a better friend would try to stop you from making a fool of yourself."
Stiles shrugged. "Maybe, but I don't think you want to use that much energy." Juliets eyebrows raised for a moment. "Touché."
"Okay, I'm ready let's go before we're late." Scott spoke, running up to the two so they could walk to the field. The three began walking. "Yay lacrosse." Juliet replied monotoned, putting her fist into the air in fake excitement. "You'll learn to love it this year, Juliet. I'm making the team." Scott responded, a proud look on his face.
Juliet couldn't help but laugh. "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. Scott you do know why you've been on the bench, right?" Scott just shook his head with a small smile. "I know, I know. But this years gonna be different. I know it."
"But if you play... I'll have no one to talk to on the bench. Are you really gonna do that to your best friend?" Stiles questioned as the three made their way over to the bench so the boys could set their things down. "I can't sit out again. My whole life is sitting on the sidelines. This season, I make first line." Scott replied before his attention was taken away by the three girls walking onto the bleachers, more specifically Allison.
Juliet pat Stiles on the back. "Let's just let him do his thing and you'll have your bench buddy back in no time." Stiles nodded, a small smile playing on his lips as Juliet walked towards the bleachers herself.
She didn't sit near her sister, wanting to just give her as much space as she could on the one set of bleachers. She didn't blame Gwen for how their relationship now was, Juliet knew she had started it. But she wished her sister would just extend the olive branch even a little so they could begin to go back to normal.
Juliet watched as Scott went towards goal, something he had never played before. She looked towards Stiles who was already looking back at her with a nervous look. Whatever was about to happen could not be good.
