"Once you've tasted love that strong you can't go back and you can't settle on anything less and that's what gets me."

Mary Margaret stepped out of Granny's around 7:20 AM and headed towards her car. It had been a week since word broke out that Mary Margaret and David were having an affair.

Mary Margaret opened her car door and sighed, for the word 'tramp' was still stained in bright red. She'd seen David attempting to scrub it off but it was no use. The town would still see her as a tramp or a home wrecker.

She and David had worked out their problems and were still seeing each other despite the judgement. What they had no longer seemed wrong. Katherine was long gone and a love as true as theirs couldn't be stopped. But it somehow felt weird to tell people.

Back when things were still crazy between the three, Mary Margaret life was a wreck. She had felt true love, strong and pure, and she let it slip between her fingers.

There was one particular question that haunted her:
How could she have been so stupid to get involved with a married man and expect him to choose her over his wife.

"That's the thing about true love, dearie, it can slip through your fingers"
