y/ns pov.

the next few days at school were cruisey. zara and her friends were hassling finn at breaks, but apart from that, everything was okay.

until a random wednesday afternoon.

both finn and i had double sport in the afternoon, so we were doing laps around the oval, when soon i couldn't see.

'y/n? are you okay? why did you stop?' i heard finn say. i think he was walking closer to me since his voice seemed closer than when we were running.

then, i couldn't hear.

i was freaking out. i felt a person grab me and lead me over to somewhere.

i was mumbling, and i couldn't think straight. soon, i felt myself falling, until i felt nothing.

finn's pov:
i was with y/n in the hospital. they don't know what's wrong with her yet.

it was so scary to witness. we were running around the oval, having a good laugh about some story she was telling me about, when all of a sudden she just stopped. her eyes went droopy, and she went white.

so i went over to her to see if she was okay. i asked her if she could hear me and i didn't get a response. she was becoming limp and she was the palest i have ever seen.

i tried to lead her to the bleachers near where we were, and i was yelling out to the gym teacher that she wasn't okay.

she was mumbling, and her head was floppy. soon enough, she fell to the floor and we couldn't wake her up.

she was breathing okay, but nothing we did could wake her up.

the ambulance were called, and about 100 people were all swarming the poor girl, trying to see what all the commotion was about.

i went in the ambulance with her, and i felt so bad.

she was laying on the ambulance bed, so limp, so helpless, white needles and cables all over her.

i wasn't listening to the paramedics, but i heard them say something about a blocked artery.

when we got to the hospital. they rushed her into an emergency surgery. they weren't telling me what they were doing, since i wasn't family.

manny and her parents got their about an hour and a half later, and they told them that she had a blocked artery, causing her to have a heart attack.

manny was confused, because she thought heart attacks could only happen in people who weren't healthy, or old. and she was neither.

they told her that they hadn't found out the cause yet, but it could be a side effect of a medication, a drug, or an extreme allergic reaction.

i waited with her all day and night. i was so worried.

'i know you like her.'

i turned around instantly, to see manny smirking at me, leaning in the door frame.

'what?'

'i'm not that dumb. you like her.'

i didn't reply, and turned to look back at y/n. it was 3am, and the only thing. i could hear was the faint sound of beeps and footsteps of nurses.

'you cant ignore me wolfhard. just because you're a big famous actor doesn't mean you can pretend i'm not here.' manny said, sighing and sitting on the chair next to me.

'well what do you want me to say. i like her. big de-' and i stopped.

i just realised, i actually admitted i liked her.
