Chapter 8: A Soothing Finale

(And this is it! The finale! This was so fun to write, and I'm grateful I could finish it! This was fun to explore both trios and introduce Eula into the series! I hope you all enjoyed it! Thank you for reading this!)

            The smoke cleared to only reveal a disappearing Darkrai! The two deities let out a triumphant roar before fighting each other once again.

"Darkrai!" Gold and Silver shouted in anger.

"No, Darkrai!" Eula cried out as they saw the Nightmare Pokémon disappear.

Meanwhile, Crys had placed the music disc in and then searched for the lever. Gold and Claude were running to the top, determined to stop the two Pokémon with everything they had. Crys found the lever and pulled it with all her might. She waited for the music to play, but nothing happened.

"What?" she asked in dread until she realized something.

There was no power flowing through the towers.

"Crys!" Gold shouted loudly as he arrived, "What's wrong? Did you put the disc in?"

"I did, but we don't have power. I don't have any electric types to power up the tower either" she answered as she helped Claude sit down.

"Then leave it to us" Gold said as he faced it and pulled the lever back.

Pibu hopped off Togobo and rushed to the top of the device.

"Alright. Pibu! Time to use Thunder bolt!" Gold shouted as he clutched his fists.

"Pichu! PICHU!" Pibu shouted as he released a powerful bolt of electricity just as Dialga and Palkia were charging up a more powerful "Roar of Time" and "Spacial Rend".

Gold reached for the lever, but it was much heavier than he thought. Crys placed her hands on it and helped Gold pull it down. The machine roared to life as the gears spun to play the instrument. Then, the Lullaby began to play all around them as the tower lit up in a golden, warm light.

"They did it" Silver whispered as he turned to the tower and saw it shining.

Everyone in the town turned their attention to the tower too as they heard the melody play. The song was able to prevent the town from disappearing further along with the two deities fighting each other. Pibu collapsed from using too much of his power and fell into Gold's arms. Though, he was focused on the tower coming to life. They stepped outside to see what the tower was doing.

"Look!" Claude shouted as he pointed to the sides of the towers.

Arches descended from the slim opening of the tower. Three from each side and pointed to each other in a curving motion. Then, near the top of the tower, slim, steel plates fell and then held strong at a certain point. The tips extended and released beautiful roses and flowers from it. Then, a magnificent, golden light, slowly and beautifully, emerged from the towers! The light spread into two, giant wings and fluttered everything. The light held Dialga and Palkia, soothing their anger and healing Palkia's injury.

"That's the power of Lullaby" Eula said in relief as she smiled at the towers.

The wings then joined together to restore the whole town to normal. Dialga and Palkia shared a look before Dialga roared and departed from his counterpart. He glanced at the tower and below to see the trainers who helped him. Then, he left, satisfied. Palkia noticed Dialga's glances and saw the same Pokémon trainers. The Pokémon of Space then flew in front of the tower to face Gold, Crystal, and Claude.

"Palkia!" Gold shouted loudly, "Take a good look around you! This place was almost destroyed by you and Dialga! The Sinnoh Trio didn't go through so much to have it destroyed!"
