CHAPTER 2

Faith Scott sits on her bed with her laptop in front of her and she is working on an essay for her English class. School only just started like a week ago and she was already getting essays and projects to do. What in the hell is this? Collage? You know like when you got homework the very first day and no one gave a damn? She bites her lip stopping when she gets to the second paragraph. She stares at the screen as she remembers her dad's words. "Why can't you do better in school like your brother?" She wipes away a tear feeling like she'll never be anything else than a failure in her fathers eyes. Just as an idea about how to start the second paragraph pops into her brain, she hears a loud bang and clatter from outside her window making her stop and spin around in the chair slowly, she looks at the window and sees the shadow of the tree outside her bedroom window on her light blue curtains swaying slightly as the window blows through, she turns back to her paper and continues writing when she hears a loud crash and bang. She stops writing closing her laptop grabbing the closest thing to her and it is a baseball bat that she keeps at her side just incase. She stands up slowly walking towards her window holding the bat up as the person outside opens her window and starts to climb through the window, the person then falls into the room off balance. The person groans in slight pain as they stand up. Faith walks closer seeing them looking around, she took the chance to start to swing the bat.

"Woah! Faith! Faith! It's me!" The person yelled as the moonlight hits his startled face and it is Stiles Stilinski making Faith sigh and toss the bat on the bed crossing her arms with a raised eyebrow as someone else climbs through the window as Stiles turns the light on and Faith notices that the person that climbed through the window was her best friend Scott McCall. She then turns her head to look at the door when it opens and three other people enter. Jayson, Andrea and Ryder stand in her room with small sheepish smiles. Scott looks at the bat on the bed and chuckles shaking his head looking at the couple.

"Did you try to kill Stiles with a bat?" He asked and Faith nods.

"Only thing I had and I didn't know it was him. But my question is why the hell are you guys doing here scaring the living shit out of me." Faith asked and Stiles smiles at her.

"What? A guy can't come and see his best friend?" Stiles asked making Faith chuckle.

"Stiles, I know you and the only time that you guys come in my house at night is when either you 4 got into some trouble or you want to do something illegal and you are dragging Scott, Andrea, Jayson and Ryder into it." Faith said and Stiles goes to object but when Faith raises an eyebrow at him he sighs in defeat.

"Fine. Look I know it's late and all but you've got to hear me out on this. I saw my father leave leave 20 minutes ago. Dispatch called their bringing in every officer from Beacon Hills and even the state police." Stiles said.

"And what for, if I may ask?" Faith asked tilting her head to the side.

"Two joggers found a body in the woods." Stiles said nonchalantly and bounces excitedly making Faith smile slightly.

"Why are you so excited about this?" Faith asked.

"Oh, that's the best part dude, they only found half the body. We're going to go look for it." Stiles said and Faith raises an eyebrow at him.

"Do you really think I'm gonna do that?" Faith asked.

"Yeah." Stiles said.

"Ugh, fine. I'm only going cause you'll drag me along anyway." Faith said.

"Now, you go get changed and meet us out front." Stiles said before climbing out of the window with Scott kissing Faith on the cheek like a brother would before climbing out the window after Stiles. Faith stands in her spot her shoulders slumping. She looks over her shoulder when she feels a hand on her shoulder. She gives a weak smile when she sees Jayson standing there with a sympathetic grin. Andrea and Ryder had already left leaving the two in the room.
