The cold wind hit my face as I stepped out of the classroom doors. I shivered as I made my way to the shiny silver volvo attracting some attention in the parking lot. People stared at me as I walked and I ignored them as usual.
I got into the equally cold car next to Jaz. There were only 3 seats but me and Rose's thin body types made 1 seat together. Alice was sitting in the front.
"Where's Edward?" I asked.
"If he wasn't driving us home I wouldn't care, but I think he's at the office." Rose drawled at me, admiring her baby pink nails that I had done for her over the weekend.
"Mkay..." I said warily, concerned.
A few seconds later Edward jumped onto the drivers seat of the car, breathing heavily.
"Edward?" Alice asked, alarmed. He just shook his head.
"What the hell happened to you?" Em demanded. He ignored Emmett's question too. He pulled out of the school carpark and hit the road at at least 70.
We all turned to look at Alice. She shrugged and stated looking into the future for us.
"Your leaving?" Alice whispered. What!? I wanted to shout but my mouth was sealed shut, waiting for answers.
"Am I?" Edward snarled.
"Oh." Alice gasped and I saw it with her. The new girl, Bella, dead, lying infront of Edward, his crimson eyes looking down in despair.
"Stop!" Edward groaned at her, obviously seeing the same thing as we were.
"Sorry," she whispered. She paused for a moment."I'll miss you, no matter how short a time you're gone." I would miss him so much too but I still couldn't open my mouth.
"Drop us here." Alice told him and we stopped near the long driveway to our house. We all got out silently while Alice muttered something to Edward. I looked up to Rose. She was staring at Alice.
The car sped off down the road the opposite way we came.
"Where's he going Alice?" I asked her as she stared off aftet the car.
"He's just leaving for a bit. He'll be back." She stated at me before starting down the driveway whispering to Jaz.
I whined and started to walk after the car, knowing the speed comparison was too far to actually catch up to him. Rose grabbed my hand and pulled me back.
"Come on Luna, he'll be back." Rose comforted me. I turned to her and she picked me up, so that we could run back to the house.
I turned back one last time to stare at the road. But the car didn't come back. And that's how I lost my best friend.
