A year have passed, and the divorce have been concluded. Lara was in her mum's custody,while her dad left the house,probably to start a new life somewhere else .on the other hand,Lara was already in the university, she was still a fresher, trying to get used to the environment, and how things worked around there.
She had to attend lectures in the morning, and she felt so much relief, as she wouldn't have to see her parent's constant fights and quarrels . she met new friends that helped her take her mind off her home situation .she started getting used to hanging around friends and it really helped her a lot,as most of them were really hilarious. Her best friend, Esther was always there to walk around with her,and they talked most of the time .People began to think they were twins,as they were always seen together, and portrayed similar character traits .
A name was even coined from their names "esla".which was a combination of Esther and Lara .On several occasions, Esther would talk about her brother,and how he behaved at home,how he treated her with so much respect,how her parents loved her(Esther) because she was the last child and would shower her with gifts. Lara on the other hand was an only child of a broken relationship.
One evening, Lara was going back to her hostel,after a very hectic day at school. This time without Esther. She saw two lovers,in the garden, smiling and professing love to each other .Lara looked at the both of them with disgust and anger, and cursed them under her breath"rather than study to become useful in life,you both are busy sitting her idle" she muttered.....this took her back to the past .The first time she fell in love. A memory that was forever fresh in her mind .her one and only love .she could remember vividly, like it was yesterday
