Its Saturday morning, and everywhere would have been quiet, except for the birds chirping, and the music blasting from the speaker at the end of the room. Lara gets up,though not fully awake,she walks towards the end of the room,and turns off the music .she falls down to the floor,with her right hand on her head "ahhh"she says
Suddenly, they hear noise from the passage,like that of people quarrelling, so they hurry out to know what must have caused the quarrel. On getting to the scene,its was the girls in room 201,the last room at the end of the passage .They were fighting and laying curses on each other
" stupid girl"
"Don't go and look for a man,you're trying to snatch my man"
"By the time I'm dome with you,you would never look my Frank in the face again,slut"
"Wait....wait,so you thought you could seduce my man?"
Just then,the other girl interrupted
"Are you not ashamed of yourself? You're calling him your man,yet he never acknowledges the fact that he has a girlfriend"
"Look at you,useless child,I'm sure your parents must be ashamed of you,for bringing this disgrace to them.
" my man,my man,yet he cannot pay your rent and take you out of here "
"How much does he even spend on you?
" my dear let me tell you,he doesn't give you money,because you don't deserve it,ugly thing"
Just then,her opponent gave her a resounding slap
" how dare you?"
" you dare open your mouth to insult me"
Just then,they started struggling with each other,throwing punches and dragging each other........................................disgusted by the way the girls were fighting, Lara walked away angrily into the room,and banged the door,then she heaved a very heavy and long sigh "mtcheeeeeeeeeew" "stupid girls"
Esther walked in behind her "why dud you leave?" She asked
"So you expect me to stand there and watch those two disgrace themselves?" Lara retorted
"I can't imagine that girls would fight each other,over a man that goes after everything on skirt. is it not the same guy that asked me out?"
"This is the height of stupidity, and in fact I'm very ashamed to even say that I'm a girl"
"I have to go out please"
"But Lara,you should have seen the way the other girl dragged Eunice cloth"
"She tore her cloth. I can't wait to see the last of it" Esther added
Lara had her bath,and got dressed
"Don't you think this blouse is old? Esther asked. The colour and prints on it are beginning to wah off
" so I should change it"?
"But I like this blouse ,it's my best"
"Suit yourself then" Esther concluded
Lara left the room,and headed out. She took a cab to her house to see her mum
"Knock knock"
Lara knocked severally on the door,but no one answered, she had to turn the door knob,and discovered that it was open. She walked into the house,to see her mum on the couch,with air pods in her ear,she was carried away with whatever she was watching on her phone.
"Mom"
"Mom"
Lara called severally, but her mom couldn't hear her.
She forcefully removed the air pod from her mom's ear. just then,she realised that someone was standing beside her
"Lara my dear"
"When did you get here"
Her mum asked while getting up to give her a warm hug
'How long have you been standing here"?
" for as long as you've been deaf"
Lara said with anger written all over her face.
She walked away,into the kitchen to find something to eat.
Opening several pots,she shouted
" no food? Mom you didn't cook?"
"Oh I almost forgot,you don't care do you?
"Why did I come here in the first place?
" my bad,I'm leaving already"
Just as she was about to storm out of the house, she felt a sharp pain in her abdomen
"Ouch"
She let out a loud cry,but her mom couldn't hear her,asshe was busy fondling with her phone. Lara managed to leave the house.
