Chapter 1: YOU

Plugging-in my earphones, on my way home, I play a random song from my phone.

The road is dark, but not too dark because of the light post na nagbibigay liwanag sa daan. Di pa man ako nakakalayo mula sa pinanggalingan ko biglang bumuhos ang malakas na ulan. You can hear the droplets of water as it hits the ground but it doesn't over power the music that my earplugs produces.

Goodbye summer. Welcome tag-ulan. 

Music continues to play.

I search for a covered place and run to it when  a girl covering her head bumped at me before I got there.

"Sorry" she said.

I look away then run straight to the dry place. She followed me.

The awkwardness between me and the girl grew as we speak silence. But the rain washes the awkwardness away. So I just focus on the raindrops. Based on the the droplets I don't think the rain will stop soon.

I looked at her, shocked 'coz I almost forgot that there's someone beside me. She wore a simple but elegant white blouse, blue jeans and black hooded jacket, but her big brown beautiful struck me. Of course I didn't respond, I don't' know how to respond properly anyway. So why bother?

She just take a deep breath before distancing herself.

"Sorry?" I smirked while thinking out loud I should literally stop this habit. I see her on my peripheral vision that she's not interested. I must have hurt her pride.

I never wanted to hurt any body but when I try to approach someone it always turns into a disaster hurting them.

I turn my back at her when she starts to talk looking at wind  "Hmph. Attitude ne'to"  I took a glimpse, she's pouting?

She walked fast to my direction, eye to eye and lean forward "Do you know how to say sorry!?" She looks so angry as if I pushed her destructive button.

Her eyes looks at me as if it speak for itself, taming my filthy mouth, I can't even bring myself to reply. I felt her slight anger but kind concern just by looking at her eyes.
