Friday came around and Xavier was making sure he had everything ready for the Saturday as the guys have invited themselves on the fishing trip with both his dad and Cal who both didn't mind. Tess had just finished doing a big order that Tre' had already taking to be delivered as he went to grab a new chair and bait for tomorrow. Tess had already made the snacks and the boys filled the coolers with water and other drinks they were excited for a guys day. While the girls were taking a self care day, and cleaning around the house. Tess just got the clear to drive and was happy with the new Navigator she got with Xavier early. She figured it would be better to get an SUV since Xavier got a truck she also needed a car he could fit comfortably in with a lot of space. It was the ringing of the phone that made her stop be so active cleaning up and call it quits. UGH she thought to herself. "Hi mom." "Hi baby how you feeling?" "Well you know me still dancing." "Very funny Tess. We got the pictures Xavier sent us with the new car. It looks great it looks like you." She could hear her mothers smile on the side of the phone which made her smile small too.
"I'm glad you like it." "Look the boys are going out tomorrow and I thought maybe you and I cold do something too I could use a little help tomorrow planting new things in the garden. You used to love to do that with me remember." Her mother stopped herself Tess knew she meant well but she hasn't been out to help with gardening or any other plant work since Luas invited himself out there to meet her mom on weekend while her dad was away. "You know what mom I think that sounds fun and I'll be there in the morning how about I head out of here about 9. Do you need me to bring you anything?" "REALLY? No. I got everything here out in the shed. It's been so long I'm so excited. OK great I will see you tomorrow." "OK mom, see you tomorrow." Smiling at the phone it was rare to have a good chat wither mom now a days but there were their moments she truly cherished.
"Who put that beautiful smile on your face?" Xavier teased. "My mom actually." Xavier gave her a weird look. "I know, I know but seriously you guys are having your guys day she invited me over to do some gardening and stuff outside like we used to." She shrugged as he stared at her intensely. "Are you. Are you ready for all that kind of stuff again?" Scratching the back of his neck looking at her intently. "I am. I miss it now that I really think about it. It was like therapeutic in a way. Relaxing." "Well you know we got a lot of space in the back yard and the sides here. We could always start some flower beds, or just a basic garden, go down to a nursery and get whatever we need Home Depot or wherever if you would like to start some projects around the house?" he asked her running his thumb over her cheek on hand holding hers.
"I think I would like that. Would you be up for that? I promise you won't have to do much just maybe help me lift some of the soil bags and stuff." "I think a little life would look great around here. I want you to make this place feel and be a home babe. Change whatever you like, I'll do whatever you need or want me to. I want you to get back your peace on your terms." He said holding her a little closer. She knew exactly what he meant going through all of it himself. She let out a happy breath it was so calming in its own way to be with someone who really understood everything she was going through. "I really look up to you, envy you in a way. I mean you came back home and you were able to just keep going on all the things that made you happy even the littlest things not blocking parts of your life off. You're truly incredible." She told him wrapping her hands around his neck looking at him with adoration.
"I'm really not my Angel. When I got back I went into therapy and it took a lot of me to do that I fought with myself and my parents a little for about a week but I knew better. I didn't want this to run my life the way it was doing but in a lot of ways it still was but we can't stop living our lives Tess. Slowly but surely you will get those special parts of you back. I'll be with you every step of the way." He lean down for a sweet kiss. "Have I told you how thankful I am for you today." "No but you can always show me." Wiggling his eyebrows to her. Smacking his chest playfully. "So you going to your mama's place tomorrow morning? Will you be back in time for dinner with my folks or do you need me to cancel?" "I'll be back in time. I'll be leaving by afternoon. What time you think you be here?" "I will be home and showered by four and we got to meet them by six." "Well then I'm off to take a shower." She told hi walking away. Taking off her shirt turning around to look at him. "IF you want to join me?" Turning back around. Waiting for a second then addressing quickly going into their bathroom after locking the doors.
