Well, that was something

Today was not unusual in anyway, as Zelda settled into her normal study spot, a bench that stood on the hill watching the soccer team as she reviewed her notes, sure being a double major was difficult at times, she knew that it was going to be useful in the future, especially when you have the expectations of being the governor's only child, so delving into her studies in order to be at the top was nothing unusual to the Hylian, what she was not however expecting to almost be hit in the face with a ball, especially when the male hylian managed to catch it with his hand seconds away from it colliding with her face. Zelda, as anyone in that situation would react, was frozen in pure shock for a few seconds, finally gathering up the courage to look at the one who helped avoid her getting punted with a ball, ¨O-oh uhm, thank you uhm... Link?¨ she asked, slight shock as she was not expecting to see Hyrule Colleges star soccer player Link. (she did not think that the soccer team started practicing this early, as it was only around 8:30 am.

The only upside was she was not startled when Link started signing, as almost everyone who attended the college was aware that Link was mute, and Zelda already knew some hylian sign (due to her being the daughter of the governor) so she still would've known what he was saying had she not been aware of Links situation, he signed a quick "your welcome ma'am" before another voice rang out, "Hey Link! We're about to start practice, hurry up!", and upon her looking up, spotted a Zora, which wasnt that uncommon but she was puzzled for a split second as the Zora tended to lean towards the more aquatic sports, such as swimming, Link signed a quick Goodbye miss and ran towards the field, leaving a stunned Zelda in his wake.

Zelda was of course, still slightly shocked, packed her things up in her tote bag as she started the trek to the STEM building, which in theory should have been rather short, but when you add into it that Zelda plays a game called identifying every plant she sees along the way as a way to study while also having fun, what should be a 5 minute walk ends up turning into a 30-40 minute walk, hence why Zelda always heads to class earlier than should be required, although her professors never really complained if she was a few minutes late to class, considering she was passing both her majors with some of the highest grades.

(For reference, once for a project they were to find and identify plants around the city, as a week long project which basically meant, they went to class, got attendance taken, and then had to just walk around the city while taking photos & notes on different plants, Zelda ended up hiking for 6 hours in order to find a rare plant, she ended up missing most of her classes for the day)

Chemistry was rather interesting today for Zelda, as they were working on Thermite Reaction, which at first, you would think that it would be boring due to the fact that Zelda was already good at chemistry, one of the best (she and a Sheikah girl were tied, it was a friendly rivalry), Zelda still always got excited when doing experiments, no matter how easy or basic they may be, it was hands on and that's how Zelda best learned. "Kimpo, do you think Mr.Mikos would get mad if we put the mixture in dry ice, then lit it?" Zelda asked, looking at the Sheikah girl next to her, "Well, I mean I doubt he would get too irritated about it, he never did say we couldn't..." Kimpo responded, a glint of excitement in her red eyes as Zelda started to rummage around their table and grabbing the necessary supplies, "Alright, so if we add Ferric Oxide and 2Al, which would then convert it into Ferredoxin and add some Aluminum Oxide'' Zelda's hands moved almost robotically as she spoke, freezing once she stopped and her eyes flickered over to Kimpo, gesturing her to continue on, Kimpo rolled her eyes playfully as she added on "We can then add the mixture to the dry ice, then once we finish that part up, we add heat & light, to find the reaction" hands moving to mix the dry ice.

Zelda's eyes flickered outside, settling on the soccer field as she spotted the hylian male from earlier, her face getting slightly warmer as she focused on the game, although she did not exactly understand everything about soccer, forgetting about the experiment that she was still in the middle of, only coming back to earth from the clouds when she felt a piece of dry ice hit her, "Oh, oh, OH" it took Zelda a moment before she realized that the ice had exploded, "Zelda, it worked!" Kimpo bounced excitedly, one hand taking notes while the other continued gesturing, however it was cut short when a voice pierced through the class, "Ms.Zelda and Ms.Kimpo, may I ask what happened here?" the voice of their professor filtered through their ears, "Ah uhm, we wanted to try something else out-" Kimpo stuttered as she sweatdropped, Mr.Mikos raised an eyebrow, "hm, well why don't you come up to the front and explain it to the class, since you wanna go off of the instructions" he responded, "Oh, yes sir..." Zelda responded as they made their way up to the front.

Although what Zelda was not aware of, was that the hylian that she was looking at, turned out to be looking at her to, Links eyes flickered to the window of the Chemistry classroom, his flushed face (whether that was from the game or Zelda, we shall never know) had an expression on it that his teammates would describe as odd, as no one had really seen his face morph like that, although this was cut short when, due to him being distracted, he got hit right in the face with a soccer ball, promptly knocking him unconscious.
