Under The Tree ~ Yang Jungwon

Chapter 3

Once I woke up I got dressed in one of the cute outfits that filled half my closet and began to put on my makeup which wasn't much, just some pinkish eyeshadow and blush. Before I leave my room I look in the mirror, okay I look innocent enough yea? Not too much or too little to seem fake even though that's all it is. I began making my way to school.

I didn't have to talk to anyone that morning as both dad and Eunbi were still in bed. It wasn't a long walk to school and as I reached the front gate I saw my two 'friends' Mina and Tae-hee. They wasnt really my friends as i know how fake they really are but as being innocent in this school i cant confront them about it and i just play dumb even thogh i would really love to give them a piece of my mind. As I was walking up to them I could see them laughing about something but when I caught up to them they instantly stopped and looked at me. I greeted them with a big smile.

"Good morning, how was both of your weekends?"

"Ahh Eeeuun, we both were so busy we have sooo much to do and we haven't even finished the science essay that's due today. Would it be possible for us to look at yours?" Mina asked and how could I say no, I didn't know a way to decline it without it seeming weird so i just agreed if i don't get this back i will truly give up this image just to give them what they deserve.

"Thank you, thank you. You're the best. Well give it back before your lesson i promise."

"It's okay really." I giggled. "It's my last lesson so take as long as you need."

Just as I handed both of them my work, the first bell rang so I quickly headed to my first lesson which wasn't too far luckily. As I sat down and started taking my books out of my bag I could hear people talking about a new group of boys joining the school and many were talking about how handsome they all looked. Before I could hear anymore about it the teacher walked in and began teaching the lesson.

After two lessons it was time for break, I walked into the canteen and instantly saw Mina and Tae-hee and began making my way over. Once I sat down I realised they were also talking about the new groups of boys at our school so I instantly asked about it.

"Their new, just started today and apparently they are extremely handsome. No one knows anything about them but they just suddenly joined the school." As Tae-hee was talking about them it was like the saying 'speak of the devil and he shall appear' because at that moment a group of boys walked through the canteen doors and it was like everyone's attention turned to them.

"That's them." Mina stated. "Aww i wish i wasnt so shy as i would so ask for them to be friends with us" Mina said as she gave a look to Tae-hee i noticed. Catching on, Tae-hee instantly replied with a frown "same. Hey, Eun, maybe you can talk to them for us as we are too shy to do so ourselves."

Knowing what was going on but not caring, I just agreed. Getting up I began walking my way up to the group of boys hearing everything that Mina and Tae-hee were saying behind me.

"Hey if they are mean to her we can't have her around anymore as that will ruin our reputation with them." Mina began.

"Yea if they don't like her we should just start ignoring her like we have wanted to all this time." Tae-hee finished. " I agree, honestly, when they become friends with us we should just kick her out anyway as they shouldn't have to suffer like we have for so long." Mina began laughing.

What the two girls didn't know was that demons have amazing hearing and could hear everything from asking Eunwoo to be their friend to their plans if she fails to do so.

"Did any of you hear that?" Sunoo asked the rest of the group.

"Yea." they all replied.

"I think we should be her friend just to show them as she obviously doesn't know their true intentions." Niki, the youngest, began.

"I agree" Sunoo finished.

Suddenly, Jungwon cut in, "no, she isn't joining us, we are demons and we aren't just getting involved with just any girl."

"Jungwon come on, just let them make friends. It will make them feel normal in this world and it will help us fit in and not stick out too much." Jake reasoned. But before Jungwon could disagree Eunwoo had reached them.

"Hi, welcome to our school. My name is Choi Eunwoo, I hope you're all settling in okay and haven't found anything too difficult. If so, you can always come and ask me."

Before Jungwon could scare her away, Sunoo cut in introducing himself and the boys.

"Hello my name is Kim Sunoo and these are my friends Lee Heeseung, Park Jay, Sim Jake, Park Sunghoon, Yang Jungwon and Nishimura Niki. and we actually are a bit confused as we don't know the way around the school so if it's not too much i was wondering if you could show us around the school."

"Yea, that's no problem, as we don't have much time left , shall i show you all to your next classes then at lunch we can meet back here before i give you a tour?"

The boys agreed and Eunwoo quickly set off to get her bag before going to show the boys to their class.
