The boy didn't move. He just stood there. The guards were freaking out being as still as possible. I smirked "nobody move or the prince dies" nobody moved. I brought my mouth the the tip of the boys ear and whispered "same goes for you" he didn't move. This felt good, the power that i had at that moment. The knife in my hand grew heavy as a stood there for what felt like forever. Finally, I walked forward pressing my body against the prinses forcing him to move. I took the stairs one at a time slowly. And as i got to the big guard that i was previously swinging off of i said

"you, take me to the kitchen"

The guard nervously laughed "you expect me to give you food?"

"i got out of your grasp, did i not?"

"just give her the food" my head turned to the boy in front of me. My eyes found his, they were dark blue, like the deep ocean, his voice sweet like birds in spring "i said, give her the food" the guard started to get up "no." my voice came out hard and cold "you tell me where it is" the guard looked at the prince with wary eyes, the prince nodded. The guard gave me directions and i left with the boy still in toe. As soon as i was out of sight i pushed the boy off me "we both know I'm not here for the food" he nodded. I didn't know princes could be so 'no fightable' he was complying to everything i was saying and helping me with everything. "But instead" he spoke with confidence, something that didn't seem like he could do. I sighed "i want a way into the treasury" he shook his head. I was shocked, he didn't seem like the kind of guy to say no to someone with a knife pointing at him. He gestured to the rags i had on "homeless?" it sounded like a sincere question but it made me mad "take me to the treasury" he looked down, staring at the gravel "if you promise not to come here and point a knife at anyone, promise not to come here again with intentions of stealing the royal jewels, and promise that that you'll tell me your name. i have something else you might want" i looked at him, just a second ago he seemed like an innocent little donut. I walked closer to him wanting him to back up against the wall so i could place the knife on his neck again. The plan didn't go the way i wanted when he didn't step back. He stood there. I was starting to get annoyed "oh for goodness sake, take me to the treasury, now." he shook his head again. I closed the space between us and pressed the knife to his chest "now." He shook his head again but i could tell his heart picked up speed incredibly. I rolled my eyes "what do i get if i promise?" more of a command that a question. He cleared his throat, taking a step back giving room between the knife and his chest. "food, clothes, a roof over your head" i laughed but it came out as more of a snarl "don't mess with me your highness" mockery dripping over my words. The prince swallowed hard "i swear on the crown" i sighed. A promise was words, ones that i could go against at any time. And if he was sincere, that would solve a lot of problems. "fine. I promise. Don't make me regret it." The prince nodded happily "come back here every day and i'll make sure that your taken care of" i turned "oh and also" i turned back to face him. "i'll take that knife back" he held out his hands. I scoffed "nah, i think i'll hang onto it"
