east highland had lost the first game of the season, which already put all the boys at this fucking party in a bitchy mood.

Nate had dropped Aurelia off after the game to her house since Aiden wasn't talking to the girl after practice. Fucking petty if you ask me.

"So, tell me all about him!!" Aurelia began looking at Maddy through the mirror reflection.
"He's a freshman in college, I'm pretty sure he's friends with McKay, like Cassie's McKay and he's super fucking hot." Maddy replied to the curious girl who had a very concentrated expression on her face as she attempted an eyeliner wing on her eye.
"So are y'all like official?" Aurelia turned over to look at Maddy
"I mean..." the girl smiled to herself
"Eeeeek!" The girl squealed running over to Maddy and embracing her in a big hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"I've like never felt fucking happier." Maddy continued to the girl.
"As you should girl. You've been through enough shit with immature boys." Aurelia agreed
"True." Maddy replied

The girl had relieved multiple texts from the same unknown number in the span of 5 minutes. Later finding out it was Nate by his aggressive texting.

Anyways, you need a ride to this party, Aiden has refused to go and pick you up and has come to the conclusion of now giving me the silent treatment after his rant.

"Ty can pick us up in 5" Maddy stated to the grim
"Oh, no don't worry about me, uh Aiden's coming to pick me up." Aurelia replied
"You sure?" Maddy asked
"Yeah!" Aurelia nodded reassuring the girl.
"Okay. I'll see you there then?" Maddy asked hugging the girl and heading out of Aurelia's room.

Aurelia hated lying to people, especially her best friend, but it felt weird telling her that her ex was coming to pick her up, especially when she was dating another guy being his step-brother.
A little white lie can't hurt right?

"Yo" Nate begun, as the short girl struggled to hop into the truck.
"Uh-you need any help there?" he asked laughing
"Thought you'd never ask." the girl replied rolling her eyes.
The two touched hands as the boy helped the girl enter the truck, there's was some fucking spark there as the two touched, no one wanted to admit it though.
"I can't reach the door-" Aurelia began
Before the girl could look over at the boy, he was out of the car walking over to her side to shut her door.
"What a gentleman, thank you." The girl stated smugly
"Yeah yeah" the boy replied, after jogging over to the driver side of the car and hopping back in.

"You texting him?" Nate began looking over at the girl, as softcore by the neighbourhood played subtly in the background.
"Mhm" the girl mumbled back worried as fuck as the boy had seen every text yet didn't reply at any of them.
"You know he loves you, he's just going through a pissy mood." Nate looked over at the girl trying to reassure her.
"Yeah, I just I don't know if I can like keep doing this shit with him." she began

"Like it's fucking constant, you cant tell he's over it and I'm just trying to hold onto this little piece of him that I have left." the girl stated to the boy truly opening up to him.
"You can tell he still fucking adores you though." Nate replied
"How?" she looked over worried
"Who wouldn't?" Nate responded looking over at the girl.
The girl didn't realise it yet before it was mentioned, but her cheeks had grown a cherry pink shade as she was complimented.
"Yeah right." She mumbled
"I can tell you know it's true, you're blushing." He replied with a chuckle
"Shut up Jacobs!" The girl replied giggling back.

"You and him, is that want you truly want?" The boy began as time had passed by.
"See if you had asked me this 6 months ago I would've said yes instantly." she stated
"But?" the boy began
"But, I don't like know anymore, I'm like waiting for like some fucking sign I guess." she looks up to see the boy already starting into her eyes.
"Yeah, a sign." The boy stated.

The tension was already growing thick before the honking of the car behind startled the two and stripped them out of their moment as the traffic light switched to green.
