All of us just ended up sitting in the living room while drinking tea, while Chris and his dad told me stories. It was clear the two were close, though they did seem to have their differences.

I was enjoying just listening to them talk, when the front door opened, and four kids came running in.

"Mum, we're home!" One of them called.

She came into the room. "Where were you? I was worried." She Said, sighing in relief.

"We went to the playground for a bit." One of the children said, lifting up a pair of dirty hands.

"Go wash up, dinner will be in a bit."

The kids went running into the other room, and Chris' mom approached me.

"Sweetie, would you like to stay for dinner?" She Asked.

I politely shook my head. I wouldn't want to intrude. Besides, Joseph would be expecting me for dinner.

"Ella, please!" Chris Said. "I'm sure we have plenty, Right mum?"

She nodded. "You're welcome to stay."

I bit my lip.

Well, I guess as long as I got home on time, Joseph wouldn't be too mad.

I nodded a little, and Chris smiled.

"I'll go set the table." Chris' dad nodded before following his wife out of the room.

"I'm glad you're staying." Chris Said.

I smiled at him, nodding.

I heard the sound of running, before the four children came running back into the room.

"Hey, that's mine!" One of them Shouted. "Give it back!"

"No, it just matches yours!"

"Guys, come on.." Chris sighed.

They immediately stopped.

"Sorry, Chris."

"It's alright." Chris smiled.

They all walked over to me.

"Who's this?" One of them asked.

Chris smiled. "This is my friend, Ella." He said. "Ella, these are my siblings."

I waved a little, smiling at them.

"Hi, Ella!" One of them said as they all waved back.

"You're pretty." Another Said.

I smiled, looking down and blushing a little.

"Are you from Chris' school?"

I nodded.

"How long have you been friends?"

I swallowed, looking over at Chris.

He nodded understandingly. "Five days." He answered his younger sibling.

One of them opened their mouths, beginning to ask another question, but ended up being interrupted by their mom shouting, "Dinner's Ready!"

"Dinner!" All four of the kids exclaimed before running into the kitchen.

I laughed silently, as Chris smiled at me.

"Dinner!" He exclaimed as well, also getting up and running to the kitchen.

I shook my head while laughing, standing up and following him.

The four siblings had all sat in their seats at the table, and Chris was waiting beside two of them.
