November 14th
The drive back to the large home was somewhat quiet, other than a small sniffle here and there nobody said a word. Lillian was pressed against Lorenzo's chest in the back seat, keeping as close to him as possible. She had calmed down within seconds of being in Lorenzo's arms, knowing she was safe.
One of her tiny arms was wrapped around his neck, her small hand subconsciously playing with the ends of Lorenzo's short hair, and the other was tucked around Lorenzo's arm. Lorenzo would glance down at Lillian, watching as she would snuggle into his chest every once in a while as she watched the world pass them by through the tinted window.
He wouldn't admit it to anyone, seeing Lillian panic and crying had brought back some unwanted memories that he had as a child due to his father's, now, his work.
When Lorenzo was thirteen, he and his father were taking a trip to introduce the mafia business to Lorenzo. However, it took a turn when the two were doing a supply drop, Marcus Bleaker, also known at the time as the largest mafia leader, ended up kidnapping Lorenzo and shooting his father in front of him, before torturing Lorenzo, trying to manipulate him to tell all of the secrets that Lorenzo didn't know about.
It was a horrible introduction to the mafia business.
After about two months of being tortured for information, he eventually made a plan to escape, which was successful, however, he killed his first men that day. Marcus himself, earning the title and name he is in today.
However, it turned him cold, dark, and the ruthless killer he is known to be across the world.
Lorenzo snapped out of the dreadful memories and looked down to find Lillian slowly falling asleep. He knew she was probably tired from all of the crying and panicking she had gone through. He slowly moved one of his hands to her head, moving his large fingers through her bright blonde hair, coaxing her to sleep, which worked.
Her eyes closed, as she snuggled into Lorenzo's chest, making him sigh as the large black gate came into view, soon later, the car was stopped in the driveway in front of the steps that lead up to the front door. Carefully and skillfully, he managed to get out of the car, without waking Lillian. He moved her to his side, making sure to support the tiny human before he walked up the steps and through the door.
He stopped, knowing Marco and Luca were following him, and turned around.
"Have the shipment ready, and make sure to have extra security. I've dealt with Tommy before, he knows how we operate due to my father, I don't want anything to go out of plan." He stated in a soft but demanding tone, making sure to direct his voice away from Lillian so he wouldn't wake her.
Both men nodded, getting their phones out and making calls as they went to their room on the first floor where they work when they aren't at the main workplace, or needed in the home for reasons.
As he walked deeper into the house he smelt a rather familiar but odd smell, something he hadn't smelt the entire year he was gone.
Which only meant one thing.
He continued walking but instead of going up the stairs, he made his way towards the kitchen, knowing exactly who was going to be in there.
As he walked inside the door opening of the kitchen, his eyes immediately caught the woman who had birthed and raised him.
