The Koopa King and His Baker

Chapter 4

Jacklynn's POV.

I was with Bowser and we were heading to the ballroom where Jr's party was going to be held. Bowser wanted to check on the decorations.

"So, I was wondering. Why do you have a picture of you with Mario and Green Stash?" Bowser suddenly asks me. I think a little bit about it before deciding to tell him the truth about them. I thought that I might as well be up front and honest now than later. He's going to find out eventually and if he can't accept me for it then it's not meant to be.

"Oh you don't have to worry about them. Those two are my-" and before I could finish my sentence we heard an explosion behind the door in front of us. Bowser rushes forward and throws the door open. There was absolute chaos. There was smoke, people running around, and screaming, and in the middle of it all was Jr.

"JR!!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!" Bowser shouted startling me a bit. He ran into the chaos and grabbed Jr. While Bowser was handling Jr I walked over and started checking on people to make sure everyone is alright. I helped this koopa up that was wearing a blue robe. He looked very familiar, I think this was Kamik. He was stuck under a table. I lifted the tabel off him and he crawled out of the way.

"Thank you for helping me Miss Jacklynn." he said. I set the table down and looked at him.

"You're welcome. Are you okay?" I said.

"Yes I'm quite alright. Are you alright, you shouldn't be lifting something like this." He said.

"I'm alright. I can handle things like this. I don't always have people around to help me with things." I said.

"You make a valid point." he said. I continued to help Kamik when I thought of something.

"Hey Kamik, will you find me when everything is ready? I would like to set up the cake properly. I have a feeling that Bowser isn't done showing me the castel." I said

"Of course Miss. May I ask you something, if you feel comfortable, but aren't you-" He leaned closer to me"- related to Mario and Luigi?" he whispered to me looking around making sure no one is listening to us.

"Yes. They are my brothers, but they won't cause any trouble, and I'm not here to cause trouble for y'all. I'm here to make sure that the order of one of my prized customers who has become a good friend to me. I was trying to tell Bowser earlier so I could get it out of the way, but I didn't get to. We were interrupted by the explosion." I explained to Kamik whispering that first part to him.

"Ah. I understand. Are you going to tell him still?" he said looking up at me.

"As soon as I'm able to. I don't want the whole castel to know if it can be helped. I know they are not liked here and I don't want them to hate me because of them." I said feeling a little scared.

"Don't worry. King Bowser wouldn't do that to you. I see the way he looks at you. He really likes you and won't do anything too rash, I hope. Maybe the friendship between you two will bring peace." Kamik confessed to me. Before I could speak any more to Kamik I was distracted by a tug on my dress. I look down and see that it is Jr trying to get my attention.

"Hi Jr. What can I do for you?" I said leaning down to his level.

"Dad said to come ask you if you were ready to go. He said that I can lead the way and show you the castel." Jr said edly.

"Well we better get going then. We don't want to keep him waiting do we?" I said
