When you were young

Flashback

"Mummy! Can I see?" you jumped up and down excitedly as your mum finished up some patchworks for a new shirt. "Sure, here, sweety," your mother replied. "Ohh! They're so pretty!" you smiled brightly. The door creaked open and your dad walked in. Your heads turned to see a man holding a duck by its head. "Hey hey hey! Look what I caught today!" your father announced his achievement. "WOW! Thanks dad! You're the best!" you ran over to your father as he pulled you into a friendly hug. You loved your parents dearly. They were very kind and caring to you. They knew when you were down. But, who knows that they can't stay forever...

You were sitting in the grassy hill beside a river reading your favourite book, The Second book about The Outside world, banned by officals, but you secretly read it anyway. You were deep into the book very entertained about information about deserts, oceans and beaches. You heard talking of what seemed like two boys. You turned your hair to see a brunette and a blonde, both seemed about your age. You then turned back to your book until you heard soft footsteps against the grass. You looked up to see a blonde holding a thick book. "U-um hi! Do you want to hang out with us?" he offered kindly. You closed your book and stood up, patting your sky blue dress. "Sure!" you smiled back. He looked at the book you were holding.

"H-hey! Is that The book on the Outside world 2??" He asked with a blush on his face, a friendly blush of awe. "U-um no," you defended weakly, worried that he might tell on you. "Don't worry! I have the first book!" he gestured. "Oh! Really!" You smiled in relief. "Do you want to exchange books to read?"  He asked. "Sure thing!" you handed him your book as he handed you his. "By the way, what is your name?" he asked. "I'm (F/N), (F/N) (L/N), yours?" "Armin, Armin Arlert! I see that you like reading books, same as me! And my friend here is Eren," he pointed to Eren who was sitting on the stone steps. "Hi Eren! Nice to meet you!" you held out a hand. "H-hi, um, what is your name?" he looked at your pretty dress as you looked into his big green orbs. "It's (F/N) (L/N),"

And that was how you were best friends with Eren and Armin. (I don't wanna follow the story line, sorry, Mikasa ain't there :3)

End of flashback

You trudged down the blood and corpse covered streets aimlessly in Shiganshina, having no bit of hope left inside of you. Your parents were eaten alive and you couldn't do anything to stop them. When they died, the once known cheery (F/N) was now always looking at the bad side of things. Hopefully, your dad knew a high-ranked Garrison member that found and rescued you. Hopefully, things will work out for you. You weren't the optimistic cheery (F/N) everyone knew anymore. You serious after the day of your parents' death.

~TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE UGLY TITANS~

You stood near the public food distributing area as you chewed on your flavourless bread. It tasted horrible. But it was the best you got. You looked around to see Eren and Armin chatting together nearby. you walked to them ith your bread in your left hand. "Hi Eren and Armin," you greeted. "Oh! (F/N)! I was worried about you! How did it go?" Armin and Eren said to you. "What do you mean?" You asked, confused. "I mean, er, what happened when they invaded." Eren looked down, thinking about his mum. Those memories flashed into your mind. Your tears rolled down your cheeks unconciously. Eren realised he triggered your unwanted memories and immediately apologised. "I'm so sorry!" Eren said with guilt washed over his face as you, Eren and Armin did a group hug. "I'm going to join the military," Eren murmured as you were sharing the affectionate moment. "If you go I will go," I whispered back. "Do you want to join Armin?" we asked Armin. "Yeah,"
