"I do not consent to any man who dictates my sentence" says Flamenca, who has killed her husband and left her lover.
She will not allow any other man to decide for her or mistreat her, and she no longer feels love for anyone except her children. "Until you were a jailer I was yours, partner", this is what Flamenca tells her late husband, referring to the fact that she belonged to him until he began to take possession of her. "I'm going to tattoo your initial on my skin, which is mine...", referring to the fact that unfortunately that part of her husband will always be in her since it marked her. "...to remember forever and to remember all my life what you did to me one day" says Flamenca, making clear the resentment and hatred that she will hold for her husband forever.
